The Playing Fields was a very popular and well know lan centre and yet still went tits up. I am simply suggesting that you do a lot of research and make sure that money can be made before you spend any money.
I am being heavily influenced by the LAN scene here in Melbourne, Australia (been over here a few months).
80 PC LANs full of players, having to queue 20mins to get a PC at peak times, even at the cheapo prices for playing over here, the cheerful looking korean owners must be using 50 dollar bills to light their cigs.
Something similar at home in the UK would be a nice way to spend my day.
