First of all,
encounters: it is not forbidden to sit on one spot for over ten hours. However it does not give you the right to claim the event or mob that spawns on a spot. If you haven't got the needed ppl to complete the event you are verry lickely to get ignored if other ppl arrive and don't know you.
If you take the liberty of sitting on that spot for a verry long period you are in no way entitled to override other ppl arriving at the spot. It is more lickely ppl will considder you a fool or a seriously bored person.
If an incidents occure in this kind of situation, NO ONE can be angry towards other ppl that initiated an event.
Considder it bad manners to be ignored, still you have no right to cry if you are. Don't call ppl thieves or assholes in public, chew your knuckles and think who the real fool was. The chance communication was faulty , could lickely be a cause.
First pulled , first served. This is the golden rule.
Considering facts like , greed, personal gain, egoism, strangers, unknown fellow realm mate, most players make stupid decissions. It is part of an immature way off beeing raised by parents, that cause ppl to act wrong.
Don't blame ppl for having a minor crainial mallfunction that makes it extremely hard for them to bypass emotions like personal gain and egoism. It is part of beeing human and young. Having no self-esteem only makes these types of actions more frequent. And a universe lik ours is flooded with ppl that run low on self-esteem. (looking at RL school results)
If you "need" something in a universe like ours, there are a couple of things you should considder.
FIrstly, the lickelyness you will obtain something verry fast.
Secondly the frequency of event activation.
THirdly the demand for a certain piece of equipment.
To bypass certain forms of greed and egoism , i can only advice ppl to look around and see if there are no alternatives present that could compensate the needed stuff. There is no such thing as a perfect template. You may have all and everything capped, if you still press the buttons in a wrong way , or you are a vaguely utter stoned or drunk juvenile floating in a realm of his own, you will never get the fullfillment of having that "so called" perfect template. So it really isn't worth fighting over.
Most items that ppl are fighting over aren't even that good. They think that they are good because they can get like one or two given bonusses from that item and put them to use. take it from me, there are items around that will compensate those desires and make every point of imbue worth while.
The main problem is caused by certain template-guru's. They find a certain combination of items that they can put to use and all gamers think that it is theirs to have as well. Well take it from me, it has more karakter and profile if you get your own version of something instead of copying someones invention. That is called practice and testing.
