The article about the woman being fined for littering in Hong Kong, I'vs checked and the story is in the paper mentioned.

Weird thing is we had exactly the same happen locally a few months ago, a guy was fined 130 quid for dropping a match outside his front door, he pointed out the group of youths that were dropping all their chippy papers on the floor as he was being given the fine, they weren't interested (the youths would have told them to 'go fuck themselves' is no doubt why).

Friend of mine dropped a reciept by accident, for some boots she bought a few months back, a litter warden stopped her and handed her the receipt back, to which she thanked him (as they were expensive boots, so you keep the reciept).

Then the warden went and gave her a £100 fine for it, Cheeky bastard! Especially after she thanked him as she didn't want to loose it. I'll have to ask her how it went at the complaints court about it, but I don't think she'll have to pay (for one thing, if she picked it up, then there is no littering offence).

Same (should) apply to the woman in the artical.
