Been wondering through housing today and *shock* *horror* a mere 5 out of the roughly 20 house CMs I visited held the items listed in the ME. So a general request to hibs that really mean to sell something on their CM... be sure it;s updated :)

p.s. if anyone is selling some decent prized Giant Blood, pls lemme know :D

People are too lazy to use it and Mythic can't/doesn't want it to be automatic for some reason.

afaik once you /listmerhant that should be that - apart from having to re-do it after each patch and im guessing maybe server crash/reset

It should update automatic, so all the current ghost items and slowness are down to server problems imo

Don't know how the ME is implemented, but due to size and load it could cause to the game server Mythic implemented it as a separate DB server. The way it works/doesn't work could also suggest this.

Anyways, I think it's on a separate machine running some SQL server, which for some gay reason sometimes gets congested and searches slow down/fail totally. There is also some bad features as the inability to search for a specific bonus and you can not use numbers (?) in the searches. I don't think GOA has the ability to fix this btw, it's more likely up to Mythic if they cba to work on the system. Some additional automation and improved search functionality would be great tbh.

you would think that they would just use xml to store the items on cms like they do with chars, that way we could even access it outwith the game

so when im bored in work i can search for that 1 scroll i need :)
