Rant Listeners of Radio 1 in the morning

I used to laugh along many moons ago to his good old rants, interesting stories and repartee, but I would like to ask where the bloody hell has it gone?

He spends far too much time self-publicing himself, ofc calling himself the saviour of Radio 1, hence:



Which was funny to begin with. Now he actually seems to BELIEVE it. It's not that he's good, just everybody else is shit. He even admits he doesn't like or even know most of the music he plays, ffs, even if you don't, if it's your PROFESSION learn to you cnut.

His show seems to consist of 80% him talking bollocks and slagging everyone else off, 5% Dave talking bollocks (which is funnier), 5% news with Dom etc and 10% music (bands/artists he doesn't even know).

And his talking bollocks seems to consist of:

a) Talking about Dragons Den when it's on
b) Talking about The Apprentice when it's on
c) Talking about Big Brother when it's on
d) The vapid shit conversations he has had in the pub
e) How he likes being fat but yet always says it with a tinge of shame

If I wanted to watch the shows listed above I WOULD F*CKING WATCH THEM MYSELF!!

PS. I have to listen to this shit as a workmate has it on, I plan to take a hammer to his radio (or his head for not seeing sense) whenever I have one handy.

We make a hourly (sometimes longer) journey down the M1 everyday in the morning and i have to say we`ve started listening less and less to Moyles. Sometimes you can stop tuning in for awhile but when you listen again he`s talking about the same stuff he was the last time you listened.

Oh and hes from leeds!

I can't stand the show anymore, I tune into Talksports breakfast show now as at least it has something interesting to listen to.

lol sounds exactly the same as when i used to listen to it...years ago, used to have a bloke came on (kind of dweeby guy) something the photographer, and play the music "girls on film" and the bloke would sing and they would all take the piss out of him, anyway the guy once told a rather risque joke live on air, moyles didnt know wtf to do so they all rpetended not to get it and the guy never showed up again lol.

It was David the Photographer Ez, and i always found a little bit uncomfortable to listen when he was on, he wasn't, shall we say, 'all there' if you get my drift, and i also thought they were just taking the piss out of him tbh. Not funny, just cruel

True, though I rate Wiley higher for taking some of the most obscure, your-music-isn't-worth-a-hapenny-worth-of-jizz bands and actually managing to sound enthusiastic about them. You can imagine her sitting down looking at her playlist/interview plan for the day and thinking who the f*ck are these time wasters?? and still having to play and recommend them because the radio 1 bosses have said she has to. Glad I don't listen to such crap anymore.

Maybe I'm still bitter because Radio 1's big weekend which was 5 mins walk from my house (if I walked on my hands) and I didn't get tickets even though the vast majority of tickets were meant to go to locals (though tbh only several bands were worth it, rest was shite). They even tried to stop me going up my road in my car! You can imagine the response they got before the pimply little tossbag I was talking to had to move his barrier before I got out and did it myself.

Anyway, point stands - Moyles = total fat man rubbish.

yeah thats how it sounded to me, always struck me as a bit like the nerdy kid who is made up because he gets to hang out with the cool kids ... a bit Carrie-esque tbh

True, i used to listen to Zane Lowe in the evening (dont get time now) but the stuff he would play never saw the daytime playlist for weeks maybe a month or more, and then Wiley would act as if it had been recorded the day b4 and she had the exclusive

Its totally yawn, they make them out to be "requests" and stuff.

I just really don't like radio 1, especially playing all that indie shite rather than good music.

I'd rather listen to my mp3 player.

Zane Lowe is one of the only worth while dj's to listen into on radio one.
