I don't think it's actually about thinking women actually think that, but more about having fun with the thought of women thinking that.

Stereotypes just are funny, for some or another reason, and the difference between men and women, ironically, has been getting the two together for ages.

In my job I visit hundreds of houses a week and can tell you that most married men have just given up, the henpecked man is alive and well and belittling the male is the end game for the woman in marriage.
I was in a house and I said to the guy 'Your missus has parked on the hosepipe'

Men and women shouldn't marry and it will die out to be replaced by selfish loneliness...life's a bit crap really.
