Lines on my moniter

Hi guys,

I have started noticing lines on my monitor going horizontally across the screen, about half the thickness of a small finger, sort of stuff that would give you a headache, 3 year old laptop.

Any ideas ? thanks

Hold the screen from both sides and give it a very gentle press with your thumbs on both ends of the line at the same time. My Dad's laptop does this and it goes away every time.
