Light spec Enchanters?

Hello everyone.

I want to ask the Hibernia community wether or not anyone in the past has tried to play with a Light spec Enchanter, or a Light/Enchantments spec.

I know many /respec at level 40 to such a template but i was wondering if anyone has tried playing it throughout the levels.

Personally i had this experience with my enchantress and i found out to be ... quite amusing :)

heard about some light chanters on pvp and how they wtfpwned.. but the only light chanter i have met on excalibur was one i invited to some cullen grp thinking he was mana specced.. what a mess :d

Aww sorry Mastade... i think it was unfair.
As far as i know, Anuril always advertized as being light specced and it seems i was mostly invited to groups out of curiosity more than utility. :D

well, afaik light chanters have a strong DD, but then again mana chanters can debuff heat and use baseline for greater effect. So although in theory light chanters are better nukers, in reality you may as well roll a manachanter.

I have a lowbie light chanter and I can de-buff heat too, yet on the catacombs it isn't listed? Did the debuff get changed to light spec somewhere along the line?

Caster pet now casts a 15% heat debuff, which gives you some solid nukes. I know cos Vulc has a habit of asking to duel my warden so he can test any new toys he gets ;)

It is possible to spec 45 light, 29mana, rest chants so you have the first heat debuff and a PvE usable PB.

Hmm my level 11 spell in Light delves as a damage debuff for 5 in heat.

Just got a new spell at level 21

Dazzling Torch
Function : damage debuff
Amount : 10
Target : Targetted
Range : 1500
Duration : 30 secs
Damage : Heat

yip thats the ASD debuff. (attack speed debuff) meant to work as a kinda of dps debuff but aint atmo... only makes the target hit slower but harder... will be fixed soon I guess.

Dazzling flash is actually a dps debuff - not an attack speed debuff. It's insta and seems to interrupt spell casters.

Chanter in my guild soloed 1-50 light spec without a bb of any kind, think he enjoyed himself for the most part

I went from 1-20 as light spec and it whizzed by. It's handy because you can easy chain up to 5/6 yellows or 3 oranges before you need a bit of a sit down.

The light spec is useful in groups too because you'll find the lower level groups tend to be thrown together and anyone in it. That will mean target nukes will tend to be more useful than PBAoE at the lower levels.

However, I've respeced to Mana at 20 knowing full well that if I want a group, that's the way I'm gonna have to go. I'll stick it back to light at a later date :)

Ive always been light spec since release, never had the urge to respecc at any time to mana imo no fun hitting one key.

Im forced by Mythic to stick every RA point i get into extra dmg hence mom 4 wp 3 & a shitload of other stuff.

Up to Mythic fkin with the heat debuff I had a full respecc left, so recently respecced to 27 mana giving me the 15% heat debuff, hoping it may stack with the zealots heat debuff, unfortunaltly I guess Mythic thought of that one o_O

Ive never had a problem getting groups in PvE or RvR imo its not what you are its how you play the char you roll. I use the dmg debuff to interupt casters debuff my own dmg. one v one not much I cant knock over, and knock over fast.

Was said the other day by Nuked that no caster could beat a Bard in 1v1 duel, he changed his mind when the Bard went in 3 hits fully Sced and buffed.

Im at RR6 L6 all done with light specc, and imo a fun char to play, but like everything Mythic will turn it into a craftbot as these forthcoming patch nerfs will fk chanters as a whole. Never any trade off with Mythic, casters are interupted with a slight wind.

We have shit HP, cloth armour, and seems every class likes to jump ya with more than 6 bashing ya.

Think thats says something about the caster either the bstds are shit scared or were just RP fodder but in a decent group are a formidable force.

The sort of dmg you can expect to do in rvr some even higher than images if you have time to heat debuff

Come on Nil, when have you ever seen me soloing other than emain/Odins/Hadrian & that by choice.....

Let you into something you didnt know here, It was you that made my mind up to go Light Specced I overheard you in Commercial release yell to someone you were going 45 Light, having played with Mana in Beta I thoiugh wtf not Im gonna be different :)

Lonley?? Never, Trees? not on your life, I always got off my ass & made groups I didnt sit waitng to be invited, thats the trouble with Hibs everyone expects!!!! and I never did a single level on Vulcan with fins. :)

Anyway, thanks for all the replies and i'm glad i'm not the only one to have noticed the Dazzling Torch anomaly... on the herald its listed as attack speed debuff, yet it delves as a "damage reduction".

I'm curious as to what it really does and how usefull it is....

15% dmg debuff, usefull as said as a insta interupt to casters, not sure yet if it stacks with heat debuff keep meaning to test that one :)

With the announced changes in 1.52D i expect to see a lot more Light enchanters out there in the treadmill... and also... *drums* Enchantments enchanters! *gasp widely*

Light is fun though... many debuffs with nice graphic :D
