How do you con ppl into letting you join grps :confused:

Seems as soon as i tell ppl im not mana they dont wanna know :rolleyes:

Got a light menta who rvrs/pve's often in guild, he's very effective.

Always surprises (even after all this time) that some peoples expectations and boundaries are so limited when it comes to xping (omg 15 seconds downtime...NERF!!!!1!).

So what if you aren't mana, still got some MR, which is better than sitting around for 30+ mins that I've seen some grps do while they get exactly who they want then split an hour later :/

Fuck standard grps and classes, fuck them in the ear :p

hehe, try playing and eld that isnt mana.. :)

Best idea is to make your own groups, sound advice if you are any type of pve gimp.

Light menta has stlong single DD and no party skills, stock up on mr3 and acuity pots and go solo, or try and make very small groups to chain single mobs.

The tip to getting in groups is just not to tell em if they dont ask. Once you have joined for a minute or two most groups wont then kick you cause your light/void.

ive joined groups on my light chanter b4 by telling them im mana spec and using my lvl 7 pbaoe xD

light mentis rule!! i solo'd mine mostly but i got the occasional groups... as far as i was concerned as long as u do your job your fine in a group anyone whos saying oh not mana speced nm then fk em.. remember it and next time they wanna join your group tell em to go for a long walk off a short cliff, theres no need for such in hib.. when it comes to RvR mana ments are good, but nothing compared to a light ment, mana ments go oom alot and so leech mostly... light ments dont go oom nearly so fast. choose what u will, but light crits are imense and often, and if u have a heat debuffer prepare of easy ownage..

Best tip i can give you is get mr 3 asap. Thats how i got into fin grps :/

I know it too damn well...

My menta is 44.5 now and I soloed 2.5 lvls past 40, and like 80% of the way to 40

I have 43 Light 15 Mana atm so got MR2, will get last AOE when dinging 45

Anyways I was in a TS/Fomor grp some days ago, and I outdamaged the 2 mana chanters on every 2nd pull... crits gallore :)


And seing a light menta in RvR nuking a debuffed tank to 5% health with one nuke just makes you think wtf :D

no one wants you for an xp grp till they see what dmg you can do then its like omfg you own these
but until you can get in a grp to prove that you still out on ya ear which is a bugger cos frankly light ment pwns :p
they destroy fins incase anyone was wondering :)

also light ment is the ultimate solo char you got MR heal and powerful nukes uber :) and its more fun in normal rvr but in keep defence/attack mana owns, dots just destroy ppl in keep towers

If a guy with a class/spec combination that people consider gimped or not in the uber PvE groupage template was lfg. I'd take them any day of the week, he's probably spent some time soloing that character and knows his strengths/weaknesses.

I'd take any player who KNOWS HOW TO PLAY HIS CLASS PROPERLY above any PL'd group friendly classes.

Taunt4tehwin!!!11!? :p

One of the things I liked most about playing my VW was being able to nuke a purp to 40-60% and never losing aggro, even in straight melee with procs+style procs+insta I never used my taunt style :D

But yeah, most ments seem to be in the habit of nuking too soon, damn toilet paper wearing freaks :)

Somehow I don't believe you :p

Sure they hit hard, but with a perfect crit the max you can hit for is still around 1k damage. Certainly not 2k ;)

Get mr 3 as soon as you have lvl 35 spec nuke... then you have enough for a fins group. But that's pretty much all, even in DF it's impossible to get groups with my lvl 44.85 (been that for a month cuz i cba to get up at 7 to get fins group) light menta.
