Yeh, there are different critera to make the Jedi slot pop and it varies for different chars. Jedi gets to die 3 times and then its perma, unless you make it to Jedi Master and then its off to the cloning vats with you like your other chars. At least, thats what I understand from the FAQ so far

If you're really sick of the "idiot kiddies that play DAoC", but still enjoy the game, there are 2 choices.

1) Pester GOA to introduce a co-operative server

2) Get a US copy of the game and play on Gaheris.

Co-op servers just don't attract "kiddies", and unless RvR is the only reason you play DAoC, a co-op server is a really fun way to play the game.
