A few days ago my trusty monitor flickered and then warped my view of windows XP so all i can see is a very flickery bar in the centre of my screen which has compressed the whole desktop into this space.
Seems to me that the tube is dying, but as i am no expert i was wondering if it is a known issue, or if there is a software fix out there. When i turn off and turn the monitor back on i get a full desktop view (almost, though its still compressed at the top and bottom), then slowly it compressesd to 1/3 of the screen and then rapidly to about 1/6th (at which point its almost impossible to use).
Am thinking i'll need to replace the monitor, but any ideas greatfully recieved.
