Leviathan + Kraken raid Tuesdays and Saturdays

Following a small delay due to my absence on holiday and Brite's laziness I now hope to start running a regular Leviathan + Kraken raid with modifier.


TIMES AND DATES:

The raids will be held after Bluesky's Jacina's sash raid. The following times are approximate but if Eriny's/Jacina's is delayed I will also delay my raid:

TUESDAY's = Aerus Haven 8pm gmt (9pm cet)
SATURDAY's = Aerus Haven 3pm gmt (4pm cet)

VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION
1) No pets are allowed. If a pet gets last hit the mobs don't drop loot, we can't take that chance.
2) Remember to bring breathing pots
3) Skiffs are very useful please use them if you have them
4) All classes are useful to take down these mobs but seers are especially useful!

RAID PROCEDURE
I will have a BG up on Cadelin as soon as the Jacina's sash raid is over and Bluesky is lottoing the crap drops. I will not leave Aerus haven until Bluesky has finished but I want to send some people off to FIND Leviathan before the main zerg moves out to save time.

Below the water Leviathan is a big ketos. Above the water you can see a whale animation which indicates his precense. He is neutral but roams around from 55k 20k to 17k 17k in Oceanus Notos. That is around the big island to the north of Notos, he can even briefly go into meso. Once you find Leviathan you may spam the BG with his loc and keep safe (ie stay onboard your skiff)

To kill Leviathan we will form a box on the surface above him which includes all the pbaoes and healers. The tanks/damage dealers will be JUST BELOW the surface to reduce the effect of his mass FZ. IF YOU FIND YOURSELF MILES SENT MILES AWAY SURFACE AND SWIM BACK TO BOX. With 40+ people Leviathan should die fairly quickly and we will move onto Kraken.

Kraken lives underwater at 36k 56k Oceanus Hesperos. Kraken is alot easier than Leviathan but he does have a very nasty aoe dot. Healers/damage dealers should spread out as much as possible and then we zerg Kraken.

After Kraken is dead we will surface for immediate lotto + roll call. For the lazy people there is a boat route that passes right above Kraken's lair and will allow you to take and easy trip home should your boat driver disapear.

RULES:

The lotto will be very similar to existing raids. All level 50 characters that participate in the raid will get a +3 modifier for the lotto, the modifier applies to the raid AFTER the one you participate in. The winner of each piece of loot will be decided on a /random 100. If one particular piece of a loot has dropped more than once the top two (or 3) rolls (+ mod) will win. You may choose to use your mod on ANY item.

You need to be level 50 to roll for any loot. If you are not level 50 you get no modifier credit. Using your mod drops your mod to zero. If you use your mod to force a reroll with someone else and lose the reroll you KEEP your mod. Mod list will be kept up to date in this thread.

sorry for not being able to do any :/ tuesdays and saturdays not good days for me from now because of the football season, and i someone else said they would run some but then it never happened so sorry :S

I just wanted to add a small note. Since posting this raid on the forums the servers have had problems and we are yet to have a successful raid . I don't know if the server will be up tomorrow but if it is I will be there and we can try and kill the mobs.

Ok a little update. The last two raids that I have attempted have failed because of a lack of numbers. This is obvious not a good thing. However both of them were affected by the server downtime and even Bluesky's raids had trouble getting the numbers. I am thus going to continue trying to run the raids for now but we need a better turnout.

In case you have forgotten what the mobs drop you can find a list of Kraken drops here and a list of Leviathan drops here . Each mob seems to randomly drop 3 items.

Here is the current updated mod list after 4 raids. I have spotted a couple of things that are slightly odd though. I notice Joohl and Spellcrafter are down seperately although I thought they were the same person. I'll ask you ingame to correct that. Also is Grot and Grotana the same person? Anything else that you spot that is wrong please say.

Hello,
Due to a current lack of interest I am putting the raid on hold for now. We need to have more than 3fg and that just isn't happening at the moment. Maybe after clustering or when people's chars are sorted again properly there will be more people who want this raid. I have put the updated mod list below incase the raid starts again but I think I will wait a while.

Once again, incase you missed it: Kraken raid suspended until further notice. Mods feel free to unsticky this I have the mod saved on my hard disk and this was so other people could check it too. Thanks to everybody who has given there time to help this raid, I am sorry we couldn't get more loot.

I don't think it would be possible for 1fg to kill Kraken he has too many special attacks. He can grapple 4 people at once and as soon as he starts FZing people off into a bunch of agro you would be in serious trouble.

2 opted fg can do it though although it would still be possible to wipe if you got unlucky with the aoe dot and FZing. Although having said that with 2 opted fg there isn't much you can't do, EC and Jacina's sash are certainly possible with 2fg and we have FFA raids for them.

The thing was that with 40 people on the first raid we did both mobs went down in under 30 seconds. They are incredibly easy to zerg because currently the to hit code is easy to break on them and there special attacks don't generally effect everybody, unlike say the dragons pbaoe/breath spell.
