Hello,

I'm looking for a leveling guide for level 25-50, for midgard. It can include Classic, SI and TOA but no catacombs unfortunatly. I'm a bonedancer if that specifies things a little, thanks alot :) :drink:

Well, there's plenty of places in SI, but you'd need to look around. In the next patch(1.75), the levels of ALL the mobs Classic DAOC Mainland is changed, starting with 'lowlevel mobs' around Mularn. The further you move away from Mularn, the higher the mobs become in level.

Fort Atla and the trolltown down south will no longer be starter towns. (They'll be surrounded by mobs purple to lowlevels. :)

That should make finding mobs for your level a lot easier.

well imo.. at 28 i would go SI.. travel from Aegirhamn.. then go on a horse to "the moderna spot".. dont remember name right now.. after about 2 minutes on the horse you pass alot of tigermobs on the left side of the road.. when you hit the top of that lil hill.. you jump off.. then its just to travel on out watching mob cons... shouldnt take long before you find yellow con mobs..

(to explain the spot a lil better without knowing names.. get on a horse from the horsemerchant who is next to the bindstone.... you ride out.. pass the guard-tower.. at the end of the "long stretch" youll see the road take a 90degree left turn at the same time as it is a small hill.. here is the tiger mobs..) when you get on top of that hill. just jump on top of there and follow the road.. shouldnt take long til you find suitable mobs.. only one thing.. the mobs there sometimes nukes you (not often) so stick with yellowcons unless you have gotten nuked a couple a times and know you can handle a orange con.. should be some nice playmobs there.. called Stone golems or sumtn.. just keep on staying there til youre.. 30-31 i guess.. then you can search for a new place to hunt.. or if youre lazy (like i was) you can just go visit the battlegrounds .... i know the battlegrounds after 24 and some bgs up are mostly empty. BUT there are alot of mobs around your level there.. and theres also one named mob in each battleground who has some nice drops that will help you the next 5-10 levels..

vendo has mobs that are green to 50 if i remember so your not looking hard enough :p, but as i remember you should be ok in varulv around 30 and stay there until 40 then you can do snow crabs in spind which are body weak i think, quite a few mobs in the mid dungeons are body weak so its all good, dungeons is always the best exp, and when we have df get in there

when you get 30, use 1 buffer pet 1 healer pet, pull with lifetap and staff stuff down and lifetap if needed, this should allow you to chain mobs easily, stopping to use mcl to keep your power bar full, and if you dont have mcl, go camp the oil at a tower :D mcl will really help you lots level so get it asap, all it needs is one silly caster to stand underneath the oil :p

ive managed to dig up this guide for you :p

24-29: Chilly skellets by Bjarkin have to be the best 26/26-30 mobs. your LT's do huge damage.. Two camps of them exist: one directly NW of Bjarken (this ones a little lower, conning blue/yellow at 28) and one N-NE of Bjarken (higher con ones, blue-orange, two house spawns). They spawn quickly, and when camp bonus gets too low, just rotate camps. They drop a ton of leather (seems to be with SB stats, +stealth/+CS) and some cloth (ive gotten sleeves with 7 dex 7 str 10 pie 2% slash).

27: Barracudas in Runier Atlantis, under the dock where the ship "Call of Atlantis" comes to port. Also, they occasionally drop a "Barracuda Spine Needle" which is an item used in ML6.

28-30: Noxious Hounds in Musp. They are Animals so set your Commander for a slash weapon preferably small, not 2 handed for faster attack speed. They have few hp's it seems but a mean DoT that didn't seem to fire that much on me. They run super fast and have a pretty high agro range so you will not outrun them if you get adds so be careful as kitting becomes less viable with them. Prima's guide lists them as Social but only ever had 2 come together and that was because of an agro pop while my shammie was pulling.

28-34: Morvalts NE of Bjarkin, between the town and Trollheim.

28-31: Callow Wolverines, They are NE from Varulvhamn along the gorge. If look around a bit, you will find a spot with alot of them. You will get negatives on my DD but pluses on LT.

30-33: Harpies and statues along the large island just south of Oceanus Haven has the most. However there are two smaller islands to the west of the large one with some harpies as well.

30-34: Pyrotasms in Musp, vulnerable to cold magic (bonuses ranging within the mid- to upper- 100’s).

30-34: Undead camps in Yggdra, 47k 42k. If you go straight north from the gates you will run into it. Do the icy wisp and skels. The zombies have a disease they cast, which was ok for me because i have a low level shammy bot.

30-35: Ancestral Skalkans, Sea Daubers, Bobbing Boobries, Ingesters, and Coral Things on the island across from the docks in Knarr. This area is RARELY, if ever, camped.

31-34: Sulphurous Clouds, in the Delling Crater and the Yellowed skeletons are good xp. They also help with faction at Dellingstaad for high level quests. (Fenrir's Folly) Just be sure you run around and target one Dellingstaad inhabitant first, then your faction should start improving with them. (It didn't for me till I actually conned one of them.)

35-39: Also the southern tip of the Harpy/Statue island off the Oceanus Haven, there are lesser janni and a named janni Lykon. Also some janni dust. Lesser janni drop some nice cloth (and leveling off them for 3 levels I got 2 full sets. 1 set which procs). Janni dust seems to drop mostly bracers, gems, and belts, but have gotten the occasional chain drop from them.
38-41 Washed up skeletons E. of Knarr in SI. East past the island, east past the first shore, east over the mountains, on the far eastern shore, one on either side of the Sjolf camp (the one with Urtzl). This is a nice spot since you can alternate between the 2 skel camps and the Sjolf camp to keep the bonus's up. Although I have noticed the Sjolf camp bonus drops REAL fast, they are also pretty tough as they cast, but I still don't have a problem killing them at 38/39. You can also sit/med/go afk along the shore down from the Sjolf camp with no chance of getting aggro by anything (at least I never have seen anything wander here), I just sit right on the edge of the water and I've always been fine, also a good spot to camp and be safe when you log back in without pets

38-45: Terra crabs in spindelhalla, with hammer cmdr and guardian and one healer you burn through them pretty fast. These are perfect for the weary bonedancer who is tired of tanking. Get the 1h weapon pets up, buff them a bone-shell and let them do the work for a change -- apply dot, 1 lifetap. sit back and relax.

40-45: stingers, spindels, spindel silksters in Spindelhalla all drop fast, stackable loot, and fast re-spawns. 2H or 1H Hammer commander.

41-44: SE corner of Hesperos, SW corner of Meso. It has mostly lvl 44 (yellow to me) Sobakites. The are vuln to our baseline darness DD, and drop a large variety of scrolls. After about 2 nights there, a few hours each nite, I had 11 scrolls in my pack, all different. They are getting easy, and I'm looking for a new place to hunt. The Dust Devils on that island drop af44 cloth armor, I have a full set, 4 pieces also have DD procs. There is a bigger spawn of them right outside Volcanus Haven, straight up the shore from the ML1 solo encounter.

41.5 - 43.5: WW Elite guards and various wargs in Varulv. Some of the rooms have great spawns and drop some decent loot. Use a 2H Sword, or 1H Axe commander

43.5-44.: Dust devils outside Haven of Volcanus. They are oj to 43.5 and resistent to body, but they drop great cloth armor and staves. They are probably a better bet for 44 or 44.5, they are also weak to the dark DD.

44-46+ : icestrider at raumarik , mob weak vs frost and blud damage

45+ Forest skrats, east of Hagall. Drop unique accesories, weapons, and chain armor.

45+ Molochan tempters in Df

45+ Spind. Spind can take you from low 40's to 50 if you just work it right. Another 47 and up place that was great for me was the critters around hagall. The cicadas, djurs, does and stags, the forest skrags are all meat on the table if you work them right.

45+: Iarnvidur's Lair, in Iarnwood Forest, and a bit tricky to get to, but once you find the way, its gold. If you head in the entrance, there are bunches of mushroom guys and snakes you can do. The mushrooms are the easiest, and although they disease, never found it to be a problem keeping health near max. They have low HP's, and don't baf. The snakes baf, but the single target root pull is a good way to go. You can simply move in a circle around the passages, constantly getting the camp bonus. As for loot, at 50, most of my jewelery is still from here, since its all very nice (random) SI drops. Also drops Q90-94 armor, L49 and 50 that salvages well.

46+: Go to Galpen, and run north along the water for 20 seconds. You will see a large Bear (named & part of an incouter) sourronding the bear are lots of very small fiery's. This hunting spot that is so easy and safe it's funny. Also is a great place to PL. All MoBs are nutrual, with no faction. They will remain nutrual no matter how many you kill. Fast respawn time. Con Yellow & Orange at 48/49 This spot is best for BA I beleive as these are fast moving hard hitting Mobs. (yellow hits 130-200, Orange has hit for 300). Pull with Level 1 debuff sick pet on target. Move away and let pets get agro, Dot and let die. Drop is cash about 1gp+ each kill.

47+: Faraheim Doe/Stag, Forest Skrat, Giant Cicada. All around Hagall. Just watch out for the insane pops of Venvettig Djur and if you're hunting Giant Cicada, keep an eye out for Cicada Killers. They're mostly red/purp at 50 and will generally rip you apart.

48+ Vendos / ice wolves in Dodens - no longer applies now you got poc, i used to love these for PLing my bot anyway ;p but 48+ can be quested or just do trows in spind, or find a nice place in toa that might drops some scrolls too ;)

just 1 thing....why a bonedancer? if its an overpowered class your after then make a warlock as they have pom which is the huge downfall to a bd, a bonedancer runs out of power in a few seconds unless you let the pets do all the work...that commander misses like nobodies business on mobs.

make a warlock and join the bandwagon.

alternatively dont make a stupid class and leave bd/warlocks well alone
