This just a warning, and from what i have heard it not first time. Celeron/Barker (same person) joined our guild and cleaned us out. Barker has now made a new guild Orion Prestige.

Be aware - noone in that guild will receive any support from me - can't speak for rest of IA ofc.

Set vaults to deposit only and let trusted officers or old timers only acess them is the only solution.

Shame we cant all trust eachother.. :(

Barker is a first class ****, forgive my language, but there is no other word to describe him/her, this from personal experience all the way back to when he was lvl 30.

Have no time for this person, and i am not in the least surprised he would do something like this.

Was surprised when HoF let him in tbh.

I remember pre toa when he was still in pdc, he went on a dragon raid, lotto'ed for the Destoryer of Dreams LW (even tho he's a druid and quite a few tanks wanted it as well). Straight after his undeserved luck let him win it, he pm'ed me and asked how much it was worth.
Ignore him. He's just a greedy child who played too much diablo 2.

Yes you are, you are indeed making excuses on his behalf. Doesn't matter wether it was himself or someone who borrowed his account, the sole responsibility lies upon him, and no one else, should the account be used for malicious purposes.

Probably worth weighing in here.
Let's say someone scams or commits some major breach of the CoC then sells the account. Are we still going to terminate the account even though the new owner had nothing to do with the problem?

You bet we are. This has recently happened so it's not a theoretical scenario, an account was sold which had been used to scam with and the new owner was 'very upset'* that he'd spent quite a lot of money on an account which we promptly closed.

We hold the account responsible for all breaches of the CoC as it's hard to prove or disprove who was actually playing it at the time. Saying that your little brother/best friend/chap you met in a cybercafe was playing the account at the time is no defence.

Make my life easier and don't share accounts.

* 'Very upset' may not have been the exact words that the new owner used but I'm a PG13 kind of guy.

Hmm, isnt account trading in any form a breach of the CoC? The way you word your first paragraph leads me to believe that account trading is normal and something you dont disapprove of.

Are you implying that it is ok for this person to trade his account so long as it is not used maliciously?...even though the CoC clearly states that the account, characters and items are property of GOA and therefore cannot be sold (ergo to sell the account violates the CoC or somesuch)?

Can you clarify this a little please?

you can ask goa to remove a char from your guild if you are the GM, I did it once when we had a problem member.

I have had no personal negative experience with barker tbh but then again i havent shared a vault with him :p

I recently joined the guild Orion Prestige with him but received the warning of the ........BLACK LIST.....a few days afteri joined so i removed myself post-haste :p I wont name any names but there are some of his guildies I do know to be crooked and although i cant speak for the alliance - I think that guild is better removed :/

Soz Barker m8 - but i advise you to make a new character, dont share your account and grow up if its really you ---

Ok. Account trading is against the CoC and we take action against traded accounts that are brought to our attention (usually by more than one person supplying us with proof that they legitimately own the account). If people trade accounts and then draw attention to themselves however then that's a fast road to Banville.

Think of it like stealing a car. If you steal a car and drive within the law, unless it's been reported as stolen, the police aren't likely to randomly pull you over and arrest you. If you steal a car and drive at 100 mph down city streets, then you're much more likely to get slapped.
