Staff decay is about 4 times as fast as on my theurg.

Necro decay rates are insane. For example a L35 item on any other char would virtually never wear out, on a necro is does just as fast as any MP / 99% crafted L50 gear.

Dropping 2-4% per hour dur, even if you are pulling blues that never touch your pet also puts it to shame, almost as if its the time in combat and not the actual hits that do damage.

While I would agree with others we do need some nerfs, none of the ones brought in so far are right, in fact its going to push the necro into the scrap bin, as it will become the least viable char to play.

OMG we've broken a few staffs in the past year, burn mythic HQ!
Dunno how you guys can bitch, wear isn't a problem for my necro. I trained up to LGM tailor when I heard it was coming and haven't had a problem since for any items. We deserve fast decay rates as we fight so damn fast and without rest, can't have it both ways.

Decay rating of staffes is that high, bcs necro pet often melees. Dunno if Cabbalists or Spiritmasters expire the same thing, sending their pets to melee an opponent. If armor decays bcs pet is fighting, so pet should get full benefit of aror, that includes procss and charges too, beside adding area calculation to pet melee.

But in fact, Armor decay is, if decay formula succeeds, all armor parts decay by 1%. On all other chars is calculated hit area first, e.g. Breastplate or arms, and then if this area gets a decay.

Regarding necro vs caster:
Necros 1500 ranged casts are shae-instnat/pet-castable, all pet-instants are limited to 500 range (pet and shade ofc have to be in range).
So there are tons of opportunities to interrupt pet by long range casts or instant spells. After that pet is interrupted for current swing and following swing.
Just add the bonus damage a lvl 50 caster does versus a lvl 44 pet and the huge amount of resists a necro gets even against con yellow opponents.

Like I've said many times - they should fix the bugs before changing anything and those bugs include Necros not getting full use of thier armour (and thier staff). Talking about staff decay rate - ever played a supp bonedancer and meleeing with your staff? it goes down at a fair whack too but I don't think I've ever read a BD bitching about it. We all know why it wears down too - the Necro is the pet and since the pet is being hit (I doubt it records what part of the necro) it applies that to all of the Necromancers gear, same applies to the staff which I'm assuming is seen as "on the pet" so whenever the pet attacks/casts this is added on to the necromancers casts = fast wear.

You'll never get me to say that it's "too fast" though. Right now I think it's fairly balanced for the PVE power of the character and that IS THE POINT.

Life would be better if they just concentrated on bug fixing at the moment but they wont of course.

Once again.

One post was about necro had no deay at all for about one year. Thats wrong, staff was decaying from release.

Second point Necro = shade + pet.
Seems Mythic cant handle it -> no fixes.

Third thing, armor decay, i dont think, that a BD receves a full armor decay, if only his robe is hit several times.

exactly necro = shade+pet but the Necro IS the pet so if the pet is hit I think it's quite right that the necro's equipment wears down (dont get me wrong I prefered it when it didnt'). The alternative is to make all pet casting classes have item wear when thier pets are hit of course.

BD doesn't recieve full armour decay but he does recieve a similar amount to necro, certainly from what I've seen on my BD.

Cake/eat it etc blah. You'll never get me to agree that wear rates are too high, I simply don't think they're as horrific as people make out. If anything it should just make necro's take more care of the items they have.

Incidentally I blame you all for me missing my Necro now :(

I am not against armor decay at all.
But either its calculated by separate armor pieces (like its done for all other classes), or rating of armor decay is slowed down 6 times, to bring it aline with other classes.

tbh its alot less of a problem after ToA with the amount of nice cloth RoG's and All focus staffs available for less than 100g

Those all focus staffs are a god send for necros, seeing as there not much point going out and getting some uber staff drop if your just gonna burn through it.

up until a while ago the only thing worth having on necro items was +Dex, +Int, +magic skills and +Resists, didn't even need L51 armour to cap everything. Dispite Mythic putting procs and charges on Necro drops we cannot make us of them in shade form. so i think the trade off of not having any charges/Procs was a fair trade of for the 0 decay rate.

Mythic should of Fix no procs/charges and make both changes together. Mythic are slowely removing the advantages necros have (no decay rate, picking up items near mobs etc) yet not fixing any of there bugs.

Sure when buffed we can beat almost any melee class, but this is off set by the total lake of defence against even a blue con caster.
