I HAD THAT ICE SHIP!
I made it when I was about 7 or 9.

Then a little cousin came round.. and broke it :/

Love those detachable things at the front

Always preferred the Technics for the complexity. I *SO* wanted that black car (called Daytona or something wasnt it?)

I had the original Ferarri Testa Rossa (the red one, only 3 gears) : the biggest attraction for that IIRC was dropping it from large heights to see how well the suspension worked :D

Favourite models included the original yellow JCB, a black truck with a crane thing on the back and naturally my Fuckoff Huge (tm) F1 Car :D

Heh, thats only a small bit of it there is a chest in the loft full of bricks which made even more models. Like the old original Space Ships that were white and had the flashing lights and sirens. The Space Shuttle with police escort :D

I did make a model once that had flashing lights, sirens, lots of computers all that kinda stuff and decided I wanted to send it into the Lego Club Magazine (long time ago) so took picture dismantled model, then had the picture developed and it was just a blur with lights :(

I always like the big models like the:

Lego Fireboat

Or the other large Model Team kits

*sigh* :)

Yer, its the Daytona. £90 it was back then, bought with meh own cash :)

I remember getting it at Beaties in Milton Keynes, and carrying it around all day with my parents waiting to go home and build it. It is pretty strong other than the center strut (above the windscreen) falls off constantly and the 4 wheel steering struts kept poping off.

I was orginally gonna buy the Black truck with the pneumatic grabber but went with the blue Ice Ship and saved £30 :)

i had that car. had to rebuild it 4 times due to some problems with the axle beneath the car.

then the fucking packers broke it when i moved it out here.

was not a happy bunny

loved the car though. could watch the pistons move for ages. before seeing how large a drop it could survive

:D

I had so much of that bloody stuff. 2 Castles, Underwater base and numerous submarine thingies, A cowboy mine and an indian camp, Police station etc. Like 99% of the population I've lost most of it though :(
