Mid: NP team. Zergleader Ardamel (FoM was biggest alliance in the world back then, over 1k active members)

Hib: DH I guess. Littlex & co for making DF alot more intresting ;)

:O which Loch do you mean loch i'm thinking of played cleric/theurg and used to be sotl.

anyway the people i take my hat off are as follows... i know the guy said one from each realm but theres alot of legends out there here are the ones i think deserve strong respect!

:ALB:
Godfather (nice guy great paladin was in lords of england with him way back)

Soulfly (ugly small gremlin sort of creature that played pally )

Rambo (original best stealther out there even tho he doesnt play he was still much better than any of the stealthers you see around these days)

Shorti (Nasty pole arms OF hit me for 1026 of fully capped resists/sc :p armsman that are toa'd barely hit for that these days)

Loch (Didn't see eye to eye with her but she was a good player none the less)

Araudry (his paladin OF - best pally i've seen play including any of the current ones)

:HIB:

Slanatea (Nasty little luri)
Lourker (firby warden of doom)
Luon (Elf ns of doom)
Cyclodia (nice guy good ns)

:MID:

Vanaya (good kibbie warrior)
Forbitz (nice guy was in The Unforgiven with him)
Jawz (remember getting hit for 400 1handed off jawz in OF ;o)
Jon (Dwarf warrior that was specced 50 sword 50 hammer rest axe or 44/44/44 can't remember which :p... also had his own guild called Followers of Jon... most amusing)

With warhammer fast approaching and the death of daoc more than likely

Everytime anything is released everyone thinks it is the death of DAoC and it never is.

Alb - Dimse on her many alts, certainly a living legend.
Mid - Trollum, everyone loves a solo'er who has the balls to come back 20times!
Hib - Whichever one has given me the most ARPEE I suppose. Oh and the guy who got high RR on a Valewalker :worthy: .

I think the fact that they have quit all that time ago and people still remember them for this thread, is part of the reason why they're legends.

lol people that quit that long ago, were still wearing epic dungeon suites. It was a completely different and much easier game back then.

Those people never had to deal with artifacts, never had to decide which stats they would need to over-cap to remain effective or figure out which arti charges they need to counter, never had to worry about BG and grapple bots or pre-nerf warlocks and certainly didn't have to worry about NF and champion abilities.

Sorry but I have infinetly more respect for those among us who have stuck with it through thick and thing and most importantly LEARNED TO ADAPT to the new game, not quit back when it got complicated.

The only thing I would call an old player that quit legendary for, is leadership skills if they set themselves apart like that. As new game or old, that is a quality that never changed.

Hmm, many to choose from, but noone mentioned Cuthervaen, champ on hib excal, also the first 50 in hib excal I think. Wonderer on hib pryd I think.
Alb, I guess Aussie maybe, or Outlaw, but damn, what was the name of that old body sorc, a russion guy I think. I guess Sycho on alb pryd.
On mid excal, Atrox!!! He later played sorc on alb pryd in sotl I think, and was top sorc there or summat, with name reversed. Mid pryd....tough one, Mrburns maybe.

Don't agree with you at all tbh... back then it was far from easy... no spell pierce... no cast speed bonus's.... no power pool bonus from items etc.... no BG's no multiple classes with DI no new ra's :|... far from easy don't agree with you at all tbh.. played since beta myself and theres plenty of people i'd rather call legends that left the game as apose to what and who is still playing it with ego's bigger than themselves...

That's kind of Kagato's point from the beginning. DAoC has changed a lot over the last few years and is a far more complex game today. You have a lot more options, both as an individual and as a group, which doesn't make things easier because your opponents also have them.

It's a lot like the discussion I use to have with my old man about football players. He claims the players from the 50's and 60's were better than todays players, and I say you can't compare as the game is totally different now. I think Pelé and Beckenbauer would look pretty darn crap if you put them next to Ronaldinho and Ballack.

Speaking from a prydwen point of view, all the way back to release...

names i immediatly think of when i say a realm are... (and i know there are more than one each, but some legends never die tbh)

Midgard - Jenna (Awsome Old Skool runie)

Midgard - Jon (The most lgendary noob ever, got to 30 on his zerker without using styles cos "they use my endurance up")

Midgard - Sinister (Legendary hunter, for various resons)

Alb - Pbuk (so much deathspam)

Alb - Public enemies in general, (a feared old skool Alb tank group)

Alb - Jupitus and sheaffer (THE origional infiltrators)

Well maybe you should learn to use words more precisely...

leg·en·dar·y
a. Celebrated in legend.
b. Extremely well known; famous or renowned.

I mean, that Hercules, how can he be a legend ffs? Back then all they had was swords and snakes with lots of heads. What about nowadays there's depleted uranium shells and atom bombs to worry about, he just quit before the going got tough, no way he's a legend in my eyes...

Bit silly reasoning isn't it?

Pre-nefred savages, pre-nerfed scouts, pre-nefred la, pre-nerfed pa abilities.
Most people adapted to the RA-system, charges, bp-stones etc...

I was a late starter, so wait I mainly remember was wandering around at like 1L3 or summat watching deathspam and getting insta-killed. Names that come to mind are;

Alb - Stt/Sst/Ttt
Mid - Zzang (such skilled art :p)
Hib - Garbannoch
