Legendary weapons

I've been talking to a few ppls about the new Legendary Weapons that came with ToA. And as you might know there are 4 kinds (matter-cold-heat-spirit) What armor are these different types good vs?
I've heard heat is good against leather and cold is good against chain.....
So my question is wtf is spirit and matter good against :) :confused:

and how come ppls say cold is good vs chain then?

(Actually the high bonus on leather explains why bolts hit so hard vs assasins. Shame fg warfare never includes leather wearers. Energy chart also might help to explain high hib pbae dmg too)

the bonuses on the armorchart only applies stuff that does locational dmg, that would be the stuff that can hit arms/legs/gloves/chest/head/feet, in other words legendary weapons and bolts, pbae does not deal locational dmg and thus pbae can not benefit from the bonuses form the above chart.

Has someone actually tested this and checked the +/- values?

Because afaik, +/-s for magical damage against armour types were taken out in beta and never put back in (or maybe just never put in in the first place - I don't remember).

Also, it seems incredibly unlikely that damage types exist which don't have an even mix of + and - bonuses.

Im pretty sure its true because all the assasins ive bolted in the past ive had heavy (+xxx) modifiers on. This can only be because of a few things ... the reason noted several replies above, the assasins had been AF debuffed, the assasins had been heat debuffed or a combo of the two.

Assasins have lower AF, less absorb (does that have effect on bolts?), and generally have more stuff to cap and therefor often leave resists behind a bit... I wouldnt expect to be hit by spells as assasin so I wouldnt sacrifice skill/stat-capping for magic resists...

I'd like to see logs which prove this, as I agree Arindra, its not logical for this to not have equal bonus/negatives that add up to rougly the same amount... Spirit is said to be completely neutral, why would one ever go for spirit then if you compare it to Energy which only has bonuses...

'Spirit' weapons are neutral damage (+0) to all armour types fyi.

perhaps cause you cant get enegy lg weaps :) ?

As mid cold seems good since alb grps havent much had friars in grps. :D
