just im afraid there would be no point in that as this guy is just too plain stupid

serious now: is it just me or is the whole alchemy market VEEERY quiet atm? im happy when i get an order for some weapon procs for leg. weapons atm...cant remember when i sold some ablatives last time. i thought those days of farming mobs in DF to get money were over for me....

Probably all them cool looking TOA armour bits and bobs which raise this and that stat by x% - they'll come back when they get fed up of looking like an armoured dolphin...

Ive been trying to skill an alchemist, but Im trying to make it pay for itself for once rather than throw endless plats at it. Currently have 2 pages of CM full of DD/DoT armour procs. Sure they wont be the biggest selling item but (at material cost if not below) theyre selling at the rate of 1 per week or so.

When theres space on CM Ill skill alchemist a bit more: not before

Pre toa, housing was filled with ablatives (1094 alc). I just had look and found very few indeed. Yes they are still needed to finish the odd 2 of 3 bits of armour for toa template but must be mostly made to order. As most only charged upto 50g above cost, it is now impossible to get from 1040 to 1094 without spending a fortune that u will never get back. The good times have gone.

If ur happy to only make stuff for bgs then it's not too expensive to get there. Again dont hope to ever get ur money back (at least in a hurry)

Ive no need to get the gold back, but at the same time Ive no need for a ablative-making alchemist either. Finding someone to make ablatives - assuming you cant find any on CMs - tends to be very simple.

Its really just a potions-bot that got out of control. Skilled a bit further for 'just the next item', then skilled higher to provide weapon procs for weaponcrafter. Requiring SCer + Alchy + WCer to make legendary weapons gets annoying - but theres still a profit to be made there (just about)

Since someone bumped this thread .....

Currently have 2 pages of CM full of DD/DoT armour procs.

I wrote that 2 months ago - its now down to 1 page. Thats from trying to sell them at 'cost'.

Should tell anyone thats interested whether theres a market for these or not

to make a market we should all set the price and keep to it dont under cut each other..

when i started i did it to help the guild out ... as we had every other crafter in the guild..

Now i started Del,dep,Chilly, Dicer did the high lvl stuff i would send people to them, still do until i get to the 1100 mark ,,

but iam still not sure what price to charge. for Procs and what ever, mainly charge cost plus 10% for items ..

one day ill get it right ...

i do 295 armour procs and 90 weapon procs, and i generally dont make anything else, i rather enjoy tellin ppl where to go if they ask for pots tho

old prices like 300 g for a reactive, well sorry i dont do that anymore i think.
we had a hugh inflation since toa and those 45 g i earn with it i can really shove up my a**.

not that i get so many orders anyway, 99% of the ppl just want me to imbue the procs they bought cheap on some CM.

so as i dont want to argue with ppl over a few coins, i stopped crafting and only do it for friends, guildies or ppl i know to be nice

croon is doomed to do potions now for my wiz every day and then go back to sleep
