leeching

Was at H grp today, after 1hour a hunter came. At start he was standing far away from us buf after a while he came a bit closet and started to shoot mobs we where killing. Took some shots of him. Hes reason for leeching was "noone takes me to grp anyway, no matter im kind or leecher so i loose nothing". Our group was full and we asked him to stop it. Didnt hapen

After 1 hour of leeching he got aggro and died.

½-1hour after that he came back to leech from us again.

Healers got a hand spell called amnesia for those purposes.
Used it myself twice to kill leechers:-P

Had aug/mend spec healer on our grp. We got that hunter killed ones but he came back.

Amnesia is a baseline pac spell, and yeah i love using it when people leech off groups.

its true noone wants hunters in groups but its still not right not giving him group IF he is next in line on the list(if tank/healer/shaman is needed its ok as we all know)

he aint gonna get lair group as long as im not lvl 50 thats for sure... u sure hes not related to stealthie??? sounds like his style leeching to 50

I recently started a hunter and he can take yellow mobs with almost no down time.. sure he uses the best arrows but anyway .. hunters do not suck!

But that leeching hunter surely sucked! I hate leechers.. if that would have been someone from FoM I would have kicked him immedietly (sp?)

Urme, best mobs to go for are ones that stop and try to cast at u

L40 or so Bone Eater Oracles - oranges go down without ever getting near u...there are a few others around, but cant remember specifics...

If u lower level than this, try lookin about for casting mobs....

as far as i know hunters only suck if u spec beastcraft more than so u get that little speed so u can retreat if u have aggro or something similiar to that...

how is it ur supposed to specc?

36 stealth
44 spear
50 compbow
9 beastcraft(6 atleast)

ok i can accept that bc is better now but i still think u should keep compbow at top... wasnt it in 1.57 their basedamage got higher? atleast i wouldnt wanna miss the chance of seing a injured caster running past me and not being able to oneshot him/her cuz i did a tiny bit too low dmg... and insta pet is kinda worthless in rvr except for interrupting casters

HUNTER CHANGES

We've decided to make Hunters more effective in Melee combat. These changes will help them greatly in both PvE as well as RvR:

- All Hunter melee skills base damages have been increased "behind the scenes". The specific melee skills involved are sword and spear. Hunters will now notice that they do more damage every time they attack an opponent with these weapon types. Hunters now do more base damage than the other two Archer classes, and will not need to do anything to take advantage of this change - it will happen automatically every time they hit with a weapon.

- Hunters have been given a new line of spells in their Beastcraft specialization that allows them to insta-cast a wolf pet. This can be done at any time, even in combat. These are shouts that cost 25% power and have a 2 minute recast time. Please note that if a Hunter is controlling a charmed pet, they cannot summon a wolf pet. Here's the list:

1 Hunter's Companion 80%
7 Hunter's Pet 80%
13 Hunter's Ally 80%
20 Hunter's Protector 80%
32 Hunter's Avatar 82%

Bow damage did not get any changes from this patch, but as you can see, it is much more viable to spec into Beastcraft to a higher level now, just to get the 82% (Bluecon) Hunter's Avatar shout castable wolf.

Not true - it does a great job of killing green-con Paladins in Odin's Gate whilst the rest of the group take on a L50 Theurgist and Infiltart

its so much more seeing a greencon go down by one nuke/hit/arrow than sending a pet that do more damage on a friar/cleric/minstrel etc. etc. to kill a greencon gimppaladin or sending it on a infil/shade that has gone under stealth again... pets have like infrared Xray vision or something

Well this issue about lair and hunters..

if YOU are the Listkeeper.. Your the boss you make the rules for the grp your in.. in lair or whereever..

If you dont want hunters in your group you dont invite them..
and honestly players who keep sending me what nr am I on the entire day go last everytime after lets say 3 times..

Nothing personal here at all, I've been told serveral times hunters should not group.

They are skirmishers can group with afew people who can stealth and send information to others.

Just my thoughts.

Well in the random emain Zerg vs. Zerg combat - maybe.

But in most other (1-2 group vs. 1-2group, keep raids, mg-standoffs) situations I would like to have a hunter or two in group or nearby.
Ranged damage, pet, TS, meele damage(especially with the 20% bonus now) makes for a good allround class that certainly can hold his own in freys.

so what you are telling me is that im useless because i can do better than most classes solo?

Well if im not "needed" in grps rvr related or anything else item hunting etc, cuz this is what i get from you, then wtf does stealth classes exist?

Well if thats the issue, then since we are a solo class and its better for us to run around solo, which sometimes is boring as hell, but you obvioulsy dont give a fuxk about that.

Fine then all stealthers should stop sending you information about enemy whereabouts. Maybe then you would actually start to appreciate our classes. In keep raids who is killing archers on the walls for you? Who is giving you information about how many is parked inside the keep?
