LD Issues

I friend of mine (not familiar with FH) got some problems with DAoC. He gets LD every 30 mins. Sometimes his lucky to play a few hours tho. I have been asking him about his computer setup and it seems fine. Shouldnt be ISP as im located in the same city and has the same ISP.

His running a single cata client on his AMD64. Overall a pretty sweet machine. DAoC is the only game that troubles him afaik.

Anyone got any suggestions to what might be his problem?

Is it dual core? If so I had a similar problem and also a lot of gfx issues which were instantly solved by going into taskmanager (xp pro) and setting the affinity to 1 specific core only
