I already have a fairly robust camera, a Kodak DC240, but I was thinking of getting one of those mini-digicams, like the SiPix Snap, anyone got one like this ?

I got something similar a while ago, although that one has a lot more memory.

320 x 240 pixels...actual resolution
640 x 480 pixels...just enlarges previous image, so very pixelated (on mine anyway).

Fun gadget though.

Xane that gadget camera you mentioned is abysmal.

The distortion around the edges of every picture made me cry ( a m8 at work had one).

Does it have an optical zoom?

Quasimoto Jackson > that guy cage posted

I'm getting a digi cam soon, so expect 1600x1200 pictures of my eyelashes. Or something.

I have a Nikon Coolpix 775.
3x Opt. Zoom and 1600x1200 resolution. (2.1 Megapixel - I think).

I guess it's oldish now but I stuck a 64 meg compact flash in the back so I get about 70 pictures at highest quality/size.

It also plugs in the USB port as an 'removable storage device' so I can put any files onto the flash using it. Actually quite useful for transferring things roung the flat when the network sharing breaks down.

Mank, you can get a better camera for less m8.

Sony tend to have shite optics. Unless you get one of the more expensive efforts with a Karl Zeuss lense.

Yeah? Name a manufacturer and I shall have a look!

As an example:

Nikon coolpix 2500

4x optical zoom and 2 MP.

£248 inc. next day delivery. (not cheaper but a better camera and a better zoom)

Browse www.internetcamerasdirect.com

I find they are one of the best
