Dammit, Munkey you have a WebServer running on your PC. You need to find it and shut it down. Now stop whinging and get to work!

Incidentally,
Your Internet port 139 does not appear to exist!
One or more ports on this system are operating in FULL STEALTH MODE! Standard Internet behavior requires port connection attempts to be answered with a success or refusal response. Therefore, only an attempt to connect to a nonexistent computer results in no response of either kind. But YOUR computer has DELIBERATELY CHOSEN NOT TO RESPOND (that's very cool!) which represents advanced computer and port stealthing capabilities. A machine configured in this fashion is well hardened to Internet NetBIOS attack and intrusion.

Unable to connect with NetBIOS to your computer.
All attempts to get any information from your computer have FAILED. (This is very uncommon for a Windows networking-based PC.) Relative to vulnerabilities from Windows networking, this computer appears to be VERY SECURE since it is NOT exposing ANY of its internal NetBIOS networking protocol over the Internet.
Ph34r meh l33t ste4lth ability! Ph34r! Not that you can find me. :)

Conclusion: Healthy Setup! We could detect nothing interesting on any of the default ports on your IP address. Your computer appears to be a hard target. Well done!

I 0wn! :p

There will be some kinda web server on there

Go through add/remove programs looking for personal webserver, IIS, Apache etc. Suppose do a CTRL Alt Del and close programs one by one and scan to see if the ports closed.

Use netstat in a dos promt too for info on ports.

Not that I know bolloc*s about it, but are you running Morphius or any other filesharing shit?

I used Norton Internet Security for 18 months b4 I got a hardware router/firewall, never had a problem.

Why would you want to close port 80? Way to kill http.
And I think I've said before that if you've ruled out everything on your pc (which you appear to have) its probably a transparent proxy somewhere along your ISP's line. In which case you're fucked, have fun.

You did it accidentally? I'd like to hear you explain your way out of this one. :p

I wasn't there, so I actually don't know what happened. :)

Munkey, do you mean to tell us you haven't tested your PC by using a different ISP? You haven't have you? HAVE YOU?

Do it now! Dial-up to someone other than your current ISP and see if Q kicks you off again.

or did i perhaps omit the fact that this is the only ISP in the whole country?

(think back when BT was the only telecoms company)
