When this treatement was first around my best mates mum went to be one of the first public trialees for it and it has sorted her eyes fine, tho i do think she had it done twice, but i dunno if i could handle it, i mean its such a risk if it goes wrong thats it youve fucked your eyes and life forever, but if its right you can have perhaps a slightly more enjoyable life with less hassle, either way i dunno, tis up to you. Ive had glasses since i was about 6 (12 years now) and im kinda sick of them too, but i dunno, i might consider it.... im to young now anyway. :)
GL if you do decide on it tho:)

You could always get some cool flying type goggles made with your normal lenses in, and a scarf with wire in it so you can look like you are flying;)

I thought about laser stuff as I hate my glasses, but I ended up choosing contact lenses.

Absolutely brilliant - like a new set of eyes, and surprisingly easy to put in after a few test runs.

Bad side is that I don’t wear them using a computer. Apparently people who use computers for long periods of time don’t blink as much as ‘normal’ (!) people, and this can cause contacts to hurt, especially in an air-con office.

Eep. k m8.

It's his decision, but I wanna go for the best there is, sod the cost. I know Optimax are cheaper than most other places, but I think that's reflected in the comments on that site.

The only reason I'd consider treatment like this is because I can only wear my contacts for relatively short periods of time (14 or so hours) before it begins to feel funny, or blur up a bit. Its not a huge issue, unless I go out drinking for a day or so, and can't just pop them out, because then I'll not be able to see.

I hate my glasses, they're quite large lensed, and I only wear them for 5 minutes while I get up, and while I'm going to bed. I'd stab them in their mocking eyes, were they personified.

Obviously you've mentioned inability to get contacts, so go for it. Every man ever hates glasses, they make him look geeky, or intelligent. Not a hugely attractive thing, but on a woman, they can look great. Life's so moronic :(

Thats exactly what i thought Sar, but if he's happy and thinks its worth the risk for a few hundred quid then so be it, pffff some people huh?
