So im fucking off to uni this year and im looking to replace my aging pc with a laptop of better or smilier power.

Meh pc:
Athalon XP 2400+ (lawl)
2.5GB DDR2 Ram
80 GB ATA HD (oh shut up)
512MB Radeon HD3650 AGP 8x

What im looking at: Dell Studio 15
Intel core 2 Duo T6400 (2.0 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 2MB L2 Cache (upgradeable to 2.4 GHz with a 3MB cache for an extra 80 quid)
15.6 inch LCD
4GB of 800MHz Duel channel DDR2 SDRAM
320GB SATA HD
512 ATI mobility Radeon HD 4570

Weighs in at £599 inc vat and free delivery

Looks good to me!

be sure to get a 64bit OS is you want to use that 4th GB mate

What do you actually plan to do with this laptop?
What is your budget?

You could probably find a cheaper laptop that had the same specs as your desktop.

32bit XP/Vista can only use up to approx 3GB of ram. You need 64bit to take full advantage of 4GB or more

You could probably find a cheaper laptop that had the same specs as your desktop.

Just play my curret games and modern ones at a slightly better detail level than i can do now, really that laptop is just what just cheaking if there is anything i should know about dells before i hand over my dollar
