I'm looking for a laptop for about 800 quid, with decent specs and whatnot. Primarily being used for music and office applications. However, seeing as I live in Qatar, they dont generally sell laptops out here thus I'm forced to look at the internet.

Does anyone know a website that will ship out here to me? Most of the websites i've looked at dont ship outside the UK, for example I've looked at the apple website (i really love Apples, no idea why...they just look sexy to me) but they dont ship outside the UK

Any help would be muchly appreciated

Yes, I have family in the UK. However, it seems a bit daft to pay VAT and delivery to them. Then have to pay for another insured delivery out to Qatar. It all adds up

TBH they seem to be slacking, we got 15 NX9000 laptops here at work.
we send 4 back with faulty baterys and 2 with mainboard probs aswell as several dockingstations where the usb ports didnt work.

Best laptops are Sony and IBM, but you pay for that quality

Well, after careful deliberation, I decided to go for the Qosimo F10. Have to say, I'm very impressed with it so far, the sound system is superb, the screen is crystal clear and it runs like shit off a hot shovel. Plus it was 100 quid cheaper than the UK (and that was before VAT) so I think I got a good deal.


Time to fill it with crap

Any ideas?

I have two Tosh's a meaty big screen one, which is excellent and a girly one that has a screen that twists around and you can write on it - not quite as good but smaller.

Not dissimilar to mine Munkey - have a Qosmio E15. Screen is superb TBH, easily the best laptop screen I've seen, rest of the machine does the job.
