Laptop Recomendations?

Budget of £5-600, graphics not important, just wants to be pokey in the ram and cpu department with a decent size HDD and Win7.

Any ideas?

I would go for a Lenovo like this one for your budget with the rest of your budget you could bump the ram to 8gb.

There are plenty of that model with Win 7 check EBuyer they had Win 7 last time I got one.
