I was recently given an IBM Thinkpad X20 laptop.

It has got a network card+cable thingy, it has also got an external usb cd writer. I have just bought a new hard drive for it as the last one was knackered(hence the reason it was given to me). Now the problem I have is how the hell do I get an operating system onto it? It has no floppy and it has only the USB cd-r, this is doing my nut in as I can't figure out how to do this without maybe buying a docking station or summat(really don't wanna spend anymore on it).

Thanks in advance for any help.

Woohooo, it gets better. Maplins sell those lappy to IDE connectors for five squids. What was a ball ache is now a special treat.
