Laptop powersupply problem

I've got an old laptop my dad is trying to get me to fix.

The problem is, the place where you stick in the powersupply cable (circular thing, with a hole) on the actual laptop (a little black rectangle with a metallic point, where cable goes in, you know what I mean), is loose. So loose, unless there's some form of pressure on it, the power doesn't get to the laptop.

So, I press the wire in, and there's power... if I just leave it plugged in, and apply no pressure, no power.

I'm thinking of getting some form of glue, and just clue the thing onto the laptop frame... but where can I get glue I can apply in a syringe type appliance? There's about 2 milimetres of space between the black rectangle (powersupply), and the frame. If it leans against the frame, I've got power... it's so old now that it's never going to be taken apart for repairs, but if it wasn't for this little glitch (and battery being dead), it would be ideal for travelling.

Any ideas?

Buy some superglue, and a syringe. Fill syringe with superglue. Use.

Just wear some gloves when you do it (get them from a petrol station pump). Oh and superglue is runny stuff, be careful.

Had this problem with a guy in the offices laptop. I just put an elastic band around the powersupply cable and the opposite corner of the laptop so that it held the cable to the side of the socket and it got power. My office is stingy you see and he had to drop the laptop to actually get a new one :p
