Question Lappy not shutting down

My laptop wont shut down since the win 10 update last week. I have it set so I can just shut the lid and it shuts down, but its just going into sleep. Even if I shut it down from the start menu, it still just goes to sleep.

Any ideas?

Goto Start Menu > Settings > System > Power & Sleep and see what's what.

I've heard of more laptops being affected by that update. Mine aren't though, touch wood.

My wifes desktop does that too now. Tell it to shut down and it flips through back to the login screen. Guess theres a cockup in their patch somewhere

Everything is how it should be, I even changed it then changed it agin so I could apply the settings and no joy
