So I started in hib/lanc recently joined a newb guild in a good alliance, everyday I was being begged by members, it was that bad. Anyways, last night I said 'fuck' in guild chat after a warlock PWNED me . Thismorning I log in and get PM'd by Fred, the main guild master for the guild - aparently 16 officers reported my 'faul language' so he started having a go at me. Now, I've played daoc for 4years, as I say! and I've never ever had this kind of thing happen over 1 swear word but its high highly strung he is that makes me laugh, noway am I calling a GM Sir lol. Had to show you guys this I think its funny as hell.

Note - this isnt a roleplaying guild!

rofl it makes me laugh that they have /filter turned off tbfh. if they dont wanna hear swear , just turn filter on for gods sake its that easy.

Yeh quite active atm due to being stuck in Sweden because of work. Nothing else to do than play daoc (read: no gf nagging)

Dunno about non toa servers. Haven't given them much thought tbh.

Good article in the Times about the differences in use of language by us and the Americans, in this case it was a Brit who had been over there for 10 years and returned, and was completely surprisd how much the English ppl had changed, with regard to the amount of bad language used, and the amount of fights/drunken louts/lass's on the streets. I had to agree with her conclusions though - my home country has taken a turn for the worst, bump into someone on my way home, no longer the exchange of apologies - more likely to end up with a few F**** etc thrown in. My personal new pet hate is these ppl that have to spit every 10 yards - come the revolution they all gonna get shot

US are opening a ToA server with cata classes, but no ML's or Arti's etc, but theres ranged buffs which only work on group members, you literally have to be grouped to buff people, which kinda sucks even more for lvling, so now buffed stealthers, except rangers - basically, the servers gona be fulla rangers and vamps . Plus no /level, no chance im lvling 1-50 again unless I'm afk.

I couldn't make a stronglance GG, I don't know any decent US players who are american, and having a swede CC is gona be tough with the ping, but getting an american to cc means in a month he'll be banned for radaring
