Hey all

Just wanted to drop you a line to tell you about LAN Time! and our first LAN Party, which we will be holding in High Wycombe on 4-6 October.

We are holding our first public event – LAN Time! Octoberfest – in conjunction with the Tea Party LAN (these are the same guys who run the Sarisbury Parish Tea Party).

It's going to be a manic couple of days, with lots of prizes on offer, super fast servers and network, some great gaming and most importantly, a great deal of fun for everyone.

We have a great venue (the same one used by our friends at LANSE) with custom built LAN tables, a dedicated fast network, high-speed Internet access, plenty of free parking and lost of space for sleeping and chilling-out.

Our fast 10/100 managed network will be backed up by an array of dedicated servers for Counter Strike, Unreal Tournament, Quake 3, Medal of Honour: Allied Assault, Day of Defeat, Soldier of Fortune 2, and many more.

We will also have a number of activities going on throughout the weekend, including a group of networked Xbox games consoles running on a big projector screen and a number of organised tournaments with prizes. More details of these and other activities will unfold over the coming weeks as they are arranged.

Logitech to Sponsor Octoberfest

LAN Time! and Tea Party LAN, the two groups behind the Octoberfest LAN Party are pleased to announce that Logitech will be the main sponsor of the event on 4-6 October in High Wycombe.

Logitech will be providing a large quantity of products from their Popular Wingman range of gaming peripherals as prizes for the tournament winners, while other Logitech items such as Mice, Labtec headsets and other peripherals will be given away as door prizes to other lucky attendees.

‘It is fantastic that Logitech has agreed to sponsor our event and provide some excellent prizes for our competition winners’ said LAN Time! organiser Chris Green. ‘We wanted to give prizes that players would really use and appreciate in the course of their gaming’.
