Friday April 25th 7.30pm to Sunday April 27th 4pm
High Wycombe, Bucks (J4 – M40, off Junction 16 of the M25)

Following on from the success of our last event back in October, its time to dust-off the games servers, patch the games and get ready for a long weekend of frantic gaming, prize winning and kicking-back over a pizza and a few beers with your fellow gamers face-to-face!

We are also very excited to announce that games controller maker Thrustmaster and graphics card maker Hercules have stepped up as sponsors of the event, and are putting up a stack of top prizes for the winners of our tournaments and for our door prize.

LAN Time! has teamed up with LANSE to stage its next event, at our regular venue in High Wycombe in Bucks.

It's going to be a manic couple of days, with lots of prizes on offer, super fast servers and network, some great gaming and most importantly, a great deal of fun for everyone.

Game Servers
LAN Time! and LANSE rely on an array of heavy-duty, custom-built servers and state-of -the-art hardware to power its events. At event we use a combination of four servers, which run the local intranet, as well as running an array of popular games in dedicated server mode, including:

Battlefield 1942
Unreal Tournament 2003
Medal of Honour - Allied Assault
Unreal Tournament
Counter Strike
Day of Defeat
Quake 3 Arena (and Mods including Instagib, Proball and Rocket Arena 3)
Half Life (and Mods including TFC & Natural Selection)

The network at the venue is based around 3Com SuperStack 3 4400 series 48-Port 10/100 managed switch.

Tournaments
As well as having free-play across all manner of games, we will be running the following prize tournaments including:
Battlefield 1942: 4v4 Knockout (Team-Based)
Medal of Honour - Allied Assault: Free-For-All (Individual)
Unreal Tournament: 90-minute Catch-The-Flag (Random Team-Based)

Other Facilities
FTP Server: We will be operating our own FTP server for the weekend, containing all the latest patches for the most popular games, along with all the essential utilities and shareware you might need through the weekend.
IRC Server: There will be a dedicated local IRC server running for players to use for chatting and as a staging area to organise games.
Half Life TV: Counter Strike games will be aired across the network using Half Life TV, as well as up on the big projector screen for everyone to watch.
Xbox Corner: For all those console players and those wanting a break from their PC, we will have networked Microsoft Xbox games consoles for the weekend. You are also welcome to bring your own Xbox.
Online Pizza Ordering: You will be able to access the online pizza ordering system for Domino's Pizza, who will deliver more-or-less to your desk.
