LAN settings

Right, Im taking my PC to a LAN next month.
WHat should I change with regard to config settings, ie, rate, cmdrate, updaterate etc.

ATM Im a 56ker, so my settings are waaayyyyy low.

A big fluffle to the first reasonable answer.

doesn't the game engine take care of that "real time" when you click on the "Play on LAN" option? ...or is that just wishful thinking?

could just select "LAN" as your connection type instead of 56K

i play on a 56k, but i dont haev just one set-up

i have a few differnt configs for differnt servers.
So let's say i want to play on the Network Xtreme server I type exec nx.cfg in console. I pre-make all these configs. I also have learnt to make configs on the go.

So more back to the topic. I advise you play on a few LANs with bots or something for a little try and make some configs while in the game and test them. Then you'll have a closer config to what you'll need.

I dont think ive ever tweaked my settings.

Its something i want to learn, because im FINALLY getting ADSL in a few weeks and i never tweaked any settings incase it lagged me out good style... and plus i didnt understand it, but now i may take the time to read up on it
