Still no fixed date - it was just confirmed again on the phone that it was being taken to court. These wheels turn s-l-o-w-l-y. In between me first reporting him, and him being arrested, he was able to operate several more scams and rip off more people. Still under his real name.

The guy must have had a dummy made of lead.

As far as I know you can, though obviously it would cost both time and potentially a solicitor.

So you all know how, in my spare time, I track down scrawny con artist runts, take photos of them adorned with willies to the police, and get their homes raided?

Fun fun.

Anyway, the past couple days I've had lots of reset password requests sent to my email account - for facebook, and msn live. Meh. Irritating, but feeble. Your haxor skills are weak, young padawan. But now I'm having a whole speel of loan requests, and loan registration letters, sent to me in various stages of being processed. The concern obviously being that scrotum face the wonder chav has my bank details, and my address, so if it IS him he'd have a bit of an advantage. They don't look like spam mails - I've had Kenny check them out too. My credit rating resembles an atrophying corpse in numerical form, so I doubt anyone would get far with this charade, but obviously it's a bit of a concern. I've contacted the companies involved, just to say an emphatic no, but I was wondering if you guys have any advice on how I can either a) protect myself a little better online or b) castrate people with the power of a single thought.

i think its time for a new crusade here....

You can do private prosecutions but they cost money(can get quite expensive depending on length of trial etc)

Well, the dodgy attempts to get into my hotmail have stopped (after coming hourly for a while). It turns out that when I set up my account all those many moons ago, at the invent of home internet, my oh so secure security question was

"What is my favourite food?"

I actually can't remember. It was probably either mini kievs or blue cheese back then. Anyway, I guess someone has spent about a week going "chocolate? ham? toast? strawberries?" and then triggering a notification when they fail to work it out. My new security question is a bit harder to randomly guess at, and since then, no attempts.

The loans? Meh. Still coming.
