Lagstrafing, working as intended...

i am whining about /stick /face not working like intended while STRAFING! cause while doing all other things the do work like intended. Dont strafe no oov msges. With strafe u cant style and get oov msges. This is a flaw in the game mechanics, it aint no abuse of any cheat or bug it aint working like intended aswell.

STRAFING + /stick /face = NOT WORKING AS INTENDED.

the only time i ever strafe in rvr is:
A) when ive got multple archers on me (i.e, need to strafe round player im meleeing to make sure i keep the archer shooting me in shield view) and
B) when ive got 4+ people hitting me (that classes as a zerg imo ^^ so you deserve it) any other time, i just back off, so that its more difficult for enemies to get side styles etc off...

im not really doing grp rvr till im ml8 so i dont know what the strafe situation there is..

the "run through" bug really does annoy me however.. duoing with sentient in odins came across 4 mids, when he fired up MoC to get rid of the SB hitting him (none other than Dwera) the SB repeatedly ran through him meaning that he couldnt land spells.. i dont see this as a skill at all.. i see it as bug abusing that causes casters abilities (QC, MoC) to be wasted.

As someone previously suggested, i think Mythic should take a leaf out of FFXIs book, among other games. When you try to run through a player on ffxi, theres about 1 second of resistance, and then it allows you to pass through (sort of like walking through a wall of jelly.. not that ive ever done this) this feature would put a stop to the run-through bug... some extra coding may be required to allow for large /stick trains on raids etc.. but maybe the players can jsut get round this by running with their group, and not the entire zerg

Its got nothing to do with being able to time styles properly. The problem is to do with the location prediction system the game uses. The client has to estimate the enemy players position when you are /face'ing someone. For someone thats constantly strafing its nearly always going to be wrong, and hence all the out of view messages.

Its got absouletly nothing to do with the skill of the attacker whether their client predicts you in the right place or not at the time the swing is due. Even if GoA think its fine, its my *personal* view, that its taking advantage of a design flaw in the game, and hence why I dont do it in game.

Also in future, please read my posts before you start screaming like a 5 year old in caps. I quoted a line from the CoC, I didn't tarnish it as anything. Arguing with me in caps about points in didnt even raise just makes you look silly.

So your not calling peopel cheaters and exploiters , you just happen to be quoting a random part of the CoC , because you had nothing better to do ???? Strafing is a feature in the game , not a bug , did it ever accurre to you that the whole point with strafing might be to avoid being hit ???
If you want peopel to just stand still whilst you hit/shoot em then maybe you should play another game .. Only peopel here looking silly is the peopel who keep whining about this game feature, as long as Mythic/Goa say's it aint a bug , imho :kissit:
