Lag situ in RvR after patch?

Just want to ask the Middies who apparently had lots of people online as they were able to get the relics: How is the lag situ with 100+ chars (players+NPCs) on screen now (sub 2 fps was probably one of the main reasons raids were so few before...)?

It was playable(read 10-40 fps) on my system with 100+ peeps on my screen, and LOD set to near, all other options maxed

My System
2 Ghz P4
GF3 Ti200
512 MB ram

I just upgraded to a radeon9700PRO, hope that makes it 20-60 fps :p

well had a fort defense with 20 odd hibs, 50+ albs (yeah they still zerg :p) with effects full and no problems.

Then ran into the mid relic raid, 20 sec lag stun :(

FPS is way better when around 50 ppl in the area.
200 ppl with full effects still stop me dead in my tracks though.

I think that the engines performance is more dependant on the number of ppl within range than the number actually visible.
It is as if it draws every person around you - not only the ones u can see.

Same pc config, relic raid with full effects and i was running at 20 fps. Sometimes sprites got a little crappy but when i upgrade my gf2 i expect things would be nicer.
