Hi, like many others the game is unplayable for me at the moment because of the lag spikes. I downloaded Ping Plotter to give me an idea of where the problem was, but it doesnt really show enough info:

Im getting 100% packet loss at the 3 "ANONYMOUS" routers, is anyone else getting the same?

Thanks.

Edit: Not a great post but what i mean is: Is it a problem with my ISP, Opentransit or GoA? I am a total idiot when it comes to technical stuff. It does look like a problem with Opentransit but without the IP/Information on the 3 "Anonymous" it could be a problem with BT :(

What that shows is that three routers on the journey don't respond to pings. That isn't very likely to be the problem.

Let it run a lot longer (I set mine to ping every 5 seconds, and leave it going 2-3 hours, and include the last 1000 in the statistics), and repost and it'll show more. Generally the worst problem routers have error packets on them and routers after them. This tends to be, in my experience, the best way to spot the problem.

best way to explain it is:

imagine ur isp is a train station in Birmingham and u want to travel to paris. U need to get a train to london, then transfer to waterloo, then get on eurostar to paris.

Each new IP line is a junction on route to the final destination.

yep thats right.

Its one of the reasons why Requiel was asking people to send him the pingplotter results.
