does no one in power not give a fuk that there servers are stalling and causes 5 seconds + hanging time every few mins ?? which in turn are making people diss barrysworld and play elsewhere

Well admitidly the people who run the BWT2L, have ops in #bwtl and are meant to be moderators of this forum don't actually appear or seem to say much?
I wonder if they just wanted to look all powerful without doing any of the work and comunicating with the community

Good point there. Does Barrysworld itself even have a Community Manager? Never mind just a Tribes one, but an overall blokey looking after us all? Someone needs a poke with a sharp stick a BW.

1. People who run the league are volunteers and are not employees of BW and do not admin the public servers.
2. Ops in #bwtl again are LEAGUE admins, they do not admin the public servers.
3. Of the three people marked as moderators of this forum, one has had to go offline almost permanently, one has had his marriage break up and one has stopped T2 (well all 3 have obviously). One of them being me...I have given up T2 and most things online as already stated eons ago here.
Your community liasion is Marauder. Your server admin is Deathace. Mail Deathace@barrysworld.com for the best results.
I fail to see how having ops in an irc channel, moderating a forum (we dont anyway - see above) or being a volunteer admin makes someone look all powerful.
Maybe you should try addressing your problems to the people who get paid for it and can do something about it - not to volunteers who cannot.
Forum needs a T2 playing moderator - yes. As for the servers, pester BW not the league admins.

Oh and I check this forum fairly often - I'll delete any crap and do keep moderating. Usually there is no need to. As I have nothing else to do with BW anymore I'm still not the person to speak to about public server probs.

I used to be a Moderator / Official for Wireplay and was one of many who posted replies just like you did so I can relate perfectly.
( my main taunt was one to lure you out shall we say )
1. Well of course you don't admin the server, with Tribes2 voting system there really is no need. Ironcly however, we ( silly of us I know ) thought you or someone else who actually ran a Tribes2 league would play on a public Tribes2 server, doh!
2. Public or league, if all of the publics are having problems then once again I thought it might be common sense to presume that the league servers might be having problems too? Hence would have been reported back to you to get in contact with Barrysworld to keep the server standard good for your league..
3. Well we didn't know that did we? Even if it was mentioned to users of this board, it ain't here now so anyone new wouldn't know.. For some strange reason we automaticly assign board moderators with some sort of power over the community..

I dont have to be lured out, I respond to civil people. I dont know the state of the servers myself as I stopped playing Tribes 2 a long time back. I stopped using IRC at the same time.
Now let me get on with defending Camelot and returning to castle wolfenstein ffs.

There isn't a sysadmin on the planet who could troubleshoot with the information you provided. In future can you please do the following:
* provide the date, time and specific server/port the problem is appearing on ("all the servers" isn't very helpful - I'm sure you didn't try and connect to every server we run)
* provide a detailed description of the problem
* state if you have asked whether other people on the server are getting these lag problems at the same time as you
* provide a traceroute to proxyscan.quakenet.org

Its all very well coming on all proper like that Nat, but it won`t make any difference. The BW Tribes2 server change request has been submitted since November 6th and since that time absolutely heehaw-skwaw has been done about it We`re basically an abandoned community. I know EBmedia won`t provide more server staff, and I know we don`t really pay the bills unlike whatever contracts EBMedia are getting BW to do instead of looking after its customers, but we are still the direct public reflection of BW services and its about time we made ourselves heard.
The BW Tribes2 community needs immediate attention while there`s still a community left. I`m sure there are other, newer, more attentive GSP`s that would be happy to welcome 200+ players from a competitor if the opportunity arose.

Understood Nat but what I quoted above made me smile
When the server feezes for 6 seconds and then starts working again for you to see your message bar scrolling rapidly from nearly every player typing "LAAAAG!!11" then I guess that counts
