Joey is no where NEAR the best drummer in the world, sure he sounds like a good metal drummer, but he doesnt have no where as much skill and that unique sound that others have.

Joey, Lars and Travis are nothing more then ok drummers, but they are very functional in a band.

Mike Mangini and many other are technicaly far more superior.

That's because you have no clue about the technical side of drumming or musical ritm in general. I can't explain it in detail, because I suck at music theory, but in brief it's about him using ALLOT of counterritms at once.

I don't know if u play guitar. But it's the same with singing and playing guitar at once. It's unbelievable difficult. Take that x 10 and u'll understand what he's doing on drums.

Though, Mangini became more technical near the end of the solo; which I like.



EDIT: Rather listen to Joey drum, just a personal choise.
