The only way to get everyone happy is to make the three realms exactly the same, period. You all want that ?
Then as zapsi says, give the same to the same classes, meaning make damage the same and give 2.5spec + dragonfang and vanish to sbs.

LA is still gonna be good. you hit every time with LA = u get dot/debuff in earlier then most infils.

2.5spec vs more hps is 'ok' balanced imo. And dragonfang will be nerfed after the LA nerf i guess.

bad news for infils and shades.. but SB`s are neutral to crush dmg ;p

agree with original poster, friars make LA user feel so weak

had a nice chance to duel a friar a couple of months ago when playing my zerker, met him alone and dropped my buffs to see how it goes as a fair 1v1 .. i had no chance at all (read: yes i got pwned) - he was hitting harder and faster than i did with doublefrost and comeback which i landed once (needless to say he parried frosty gaze)

cant really compare buffed vs unbuffed but im pretty sure even buffed zerker will lose to friar after the nerf... very nice considering friar as a secondary healer etc :p

btw at that time the friar was was rr4, my zerker rr6, i had all MP weapons/armor, 26% crush resist, capped skills and stats except quickness (and still he did more dmg/swing). granted, dmg/swing difference wasnt big and my zerker is specced only 45 axe which affects dmg a little, but still axe was total 61 .. and the "extra" parry didnt help there either

Personally, NONE of the "uber" hits Ive had with my zerk (say 600+) have been on a DoubleFrost. All the high-dmg hits I've ever landed has been either ComeBack, PolarLight or SnowSquall, and they've all included a close-to-100% crit. So, please, stop the idiocy about DoubleFrost being a overpowered style until you've actually played a class that uses it yourself.

thats a none crafted axe from the Ancestral Secrets Quest.. if i remember right it also has shite stats ;p

I think the conclusion is that 30-40% nerf is too much for the SB's. 10-15% would be more fair if you do a SB/Infil comparison

And there are so many factors in need of attention that you can't just post a SS showing your damage over a few swings and draw conclusions from that.

having given up playing daoc, was bored and decided to go play my sb.

Yes this is a whine about CS spec sb being crap.


I see an archer stealthed solo running away, so I follow stealthed, sometimes un-stealthing, then re stealth when I've catched up with them.

Got close enough, switched to my qb with opening styles (BS2 and PA combo's) and from behind me a full group or so come and gank the solo archer.

I was really pissed off with this, as I'd had spent time hunting down the archer.

This is just one reason why most people respeced to LA from CS, now they'll be forced to respec once again back to this type of play, where people just come and kill your target.

Get a big army together and go get the str relics from Alb. You have the people to do it. Make it so, You are the melee realm.

1) pic shows friar swinging, then you swinging, then you swinging (you get blocked by his friend and your offhand is evaded), then friar swinging, then you swinging... how exactly is that him faster?

2) your damage on first swing was 152(-62) with a style bonus of +114. so without resists you did 214 damage, meaning base damage of 100 and styled damage of 114. So you get over a 100% increase in damage from your anytime style? my LW anytime gives about a 33% increase in damage (less actually -- altho I admittedly have capped qui which does lower it) but even with no qui it's no where near a 100% increase. Have no way of knowing how much qui/haste you had for that pic, but even assuming you had the minimum of both LA is still much better.

3) We can't see anything from the friars side of things.. maybe you had 0% crush resists. Friars get a large self haste buff (30 sec duration shout) haste does NOT affect base damage, so he could be using a very slow staff for high base damage, and compensating for it's slowness with the haste shout in that pic. Again we really need to see what sort of resists/style bonus he was getting for a true comparison to be made. Also, before each of his attacks he evaded, meaning he could have been usng a reactional style for uber damage bonus, unlike you who were using an anytime style for a hefty style bonus (see point 2 if you've already forgotten)

So really LA is overpowered, your base damage is gimped :p

[EDIT: Also albs got 3 str relics giving them a damage bonus in situations like this :p]

Well, when it comes to Friars, evade 4 with in fact same absorb as a chainuser, heals and HEAVY dmg output. Lol....

Nerf Friars. Since when are semi-healers supposed to be 3-hit killers?

Oh wait, lets give Mid healers full RC spec, then AE stun could be useful. That or nerf the melee realm Albion. Mythic aint shy, they are not hiding their total love and favoritism for their pets in Albion.
