Hey guys, I have just begun a new website and team... This is not a clan, this is a website team... I am looking for people to join in and help out in the creation of Half-Life Battle Grounds. Currently, all staff members recieve no pay, but, hopefully soon they will, (soon being end of the year), but this is not a FOR SURE thing. Currently we need people who can do anything for websites, (i.e. html, CGI, PHP, graphix, scripting) if you can do any of these things, and you are interested in joining, then please e-mail me at the following location, slogic@barrysworld.com ... Half-Life Battle Grounds is a remake of my old Counter-Strike Battle Grounds, as I worked at CSBG a small bit, I realized that it would be a much better site if I made the site contain information and stuff for the most popular mods that half-life has, so I decided to change name to HLBG... Currently I am the only member that is working on HLBG, but the next member that joins, makes HLBG all the more popular. I have to admit that since I only signed up for the hosting services for HLBG today, that I have not got anything made for it yet, but for a view of the old web, (CSBG) goto http://csbg.cjb.net and view all the information I had posted for that site... For another view of my work, check out http://aza.net-games.com ... this was going to be a clan site, but then I decided to forget the clan and I went in full force to build a site that was worthy of hosting from places such as half-life planet or counter-strike.org or any of those sites... So please help me achieve my goal of ultimate hosting for an ultimate site...

hokay man. firstly from looking at the two url's you posted, i can see why you are recruiting web design staff. also, the vibe i'm gettin from the post in general is that this has been done on a whim and is not particularly well organised.

trust me, no-one is gonna put time and effort into a whim. get organised, get some proper hosting and most importantly get some good ideas then im sure help would be more forthcoming. im not trying to put a downer on ya vision m8, just some constructive advice hopefully.

at the sake of repeating what tom said, those example url's you posted weren't very promising to me man, dont wanna put you down or anything but maybe you should think about your design a little bit more and include more eye catching media, nothing complicated, its just all about getting your original design idea and colours planned out before hand! Wish you and your team luck!

Tom, Maverick, you do realise that putting pics about yourselfs in your sig is frowned upon here right? And by circumventing the measures put in place to stop it by the admins, placing them manually is a pisstake right?

Please cease from doing it. It impresses absoloutly nobody, and does nothing but irritate every other user of the forum, who frankly don't care about your sig. Put your ICQ numbers and email addresses in your forum profile and be done with it.

I was about to ask if the BW team can upgrade to the newest/newer version of vB which allows users to select "Ignore everybodies sigs" but I remembered that they aren't even putting it in the sig section

Frowned upon ay? Who says? You? Like I care what you think! Unless your a barysworld official admin then I really couldn't care what you think! Even then, ive seen some of the other posts you've made, so if you are an admin, then you are looked upon to make an example and show ppl how to behave. So when someone asks how to record a demo in cs, you reply with "Read the fucking manual". So you see I would imagine ppl dont like you very much. Yyou don't speak for everyone. Oh and it clearly allows users to post images. So what measures are those then my friend. I think I've made my point.

I would post links to previous threads in which prepubescent catamites such as yourself came in all guns blazing with thier fxp w4r3z b0ardz sig pics slapped up all over the place, and all the abuse they recieved from forum regulars....but the admins deleted the threads along with their accounts.

Perplex - i never tried to put the sig in the signature part of my profile only the body text so i was unaware of the point you are trying to make. you have pointed it out to us so that is fine.

i think the reply from maverick is a response to the tone in your reply. all that needs to be said has been said.
