Made last night funny by arranging the alb forces in emain.
Albs just need to be able to follow directions a bit better

We actually ruled emain for 2 hours straight (with 20-25 ppl) until the mighty hibzerg caught us from behind at crim.

Lesson learned:
When outnumbered, dont stay at the same place for more than 5 minutes.

I was in that 'mighty hibzerg', which counted 16 people ( ; 8 more were still at Bolg when we charged, and about 1 group was inside Crim defending. After that, more people came, we became a zerg (which is 3-4fg max in Hibernia), killed everything in sight for 2 hours straight. Then people got bored, stopped paying attention, etc, and everyone died as soon as the next NP mid group attacked from 1 side and albs from the other. Same thing happening every night ( ;

I was glad to be in a single guild RvR group later though. Much more fun

One of my pet hates about daoc. People have to join the bigger guilds to get the best out of game. Why should i have to leave my friends to do so?

? Why would you want to leave your friends? There's plenty people you can group with, CBH included. DaoC is about working together with other people, afaik you're a nice person who most people like to group with. You don't need a guild to get groups. Having a big guild helps getting groups faster, but it's not like being in a small guild means you get left out. (I know, I've been in small guilds too)

Lately we've just been trying to stimulate more CBH peeps to go to RvR again (with success I might add), and we do that by waiting at DL at certain times, so cbh peeps know when they can expect to find guildies making rvr groups. But it's not like people in cbh only group with cbh. I have friends all over the realm, who I love to group with. And yeah if I need a druid I'll ask in /gu first, and having a big guild helps then, but I really don't see your problem.

That's because you are in a big guild.
I quite often end up sitting at dl for ages waiting for a good rvr group whilst multiple groups form who are guild only. Not to mention the inumerable times i've missed out on/not been informed about big raids etc. Only big thing i've been on in my whole time in daoc was the dragon raid and i missed out on that too cos i got ld death at the knights.

Finally, I’ve managed to figure out why the Hibs keep claiming their ‘zerg’ only consists of 2 fg rather than the 4+ fg we Albs usually see…. To do so, you just have to read the subtext:

“We only had 2 fg”

Should be read as

“We only had 2 fg worth of 'normal sized' people….. the other 20+ were Lurikeen, and we didn’t think you’d see them because they’re so small they get hidden by the tall grass! And medium height grass, too!”

See…. It’s a Lurikeen conspiracy!

Like I said, I had no problems when I was in smaller guilds (Axiom Knights, The Enlightened) ( ; It just takes a bit more effort coz you need to do /send to peeps instead of the handy /gu. As for cbh guild only groups: we do that at set times as a sort of cbh teamspirit event ( ; At such a time, I will only get a non-guildie if I can't find appropriate peeps in cbh. At any other time, grouping is not guild-related and I just pick whoever I see first (and ofcourse try to get at least a druid and a bard)

As for raids: If it's ad-hoc, anyone is welcome, and people are invited with /yell. If it's planned, it's usually guild/alliance. If I plan something for alliance events, I either post it on the alliance forum, say it over /as or /send to someone of every guild, ask them who I should speak to and then talk to them.

And in the end, it helps a lot in this game if you know people and people know you. Just like in the real world ( ;

Afaik axiom is in either cbh or cf alliance (can't be bothered checking atm) not sure about other tho. Perhaps that is why you had no problem?

AK is in CF alliance. But since when does making groups require an alliance? ( ; And as for raids: Yeah if you only play with your friends in a small guild, don't join an alliance and don't know anyone in an alliance.. yeah it will be difficult to know when other people are organising stuff.

And i know people in cbh/cf etc. One cbh member used to be in my guild tho she doesn't seem to speak to me anymore.
And when people start to think about a raid they seem to get too excited (or something) to inform others or perhaps assume everyone they know is in their alliance and so heard the call on /as. Or they think they will get all the people they need from their alliance and don't bother to tell others. Either way i don't get told about things till they have happened.

Maybe you should start organising raids yourself then, and tell others about it ( : Once people know what you're capable of, you'll find they like to drag you along in their own raids

Judging from the times I have been in Emain, 4fg hibs in a single zerg is uncommon. More is rare.

I have a Celt Spearo and Elf Light Eldritch on Hib/Pryd.

Never got them to very high level, though.... got bored of them pretty quick.

Whoever designed Hibernia was smoking something that didn't agree with them!
