I was full of mulled wine and eggnog (with extra shots of ameretto for good measure), and dancing around in the snow last night between 8-10pm in hyde park, to a german guy singing english songs.

I can't express just how christmassy it all felt. Fecking cold though, but no one cared at the time.

It's a good 3 to 4 inches where I am in the east of Skirtland, the west coast isn't anywhere near as bad as the east.

Still I stand by the comment - it was pretty cool - I carefully opened the door and there was this white wall nicely frozen in place. The wind had blown it off the flat roof of the garage down in front of the back door.

Glad I didnt act on my cunning plan to have more space by getting the door to open ******ds (edit - ooo filter - open the other way then) now or we'd have had to lower down one of the kids out the window with a shovel.

We've had more snow now (only a little bit) - almost out of rock salt - doh!

Fucking mad here - at home by 6am we had a good 6-8 inches and had to dig the car out to get anywhere. 15 miles down the road to Northampton and there's fuck all - barely an inch. Only gritted on the main road (A45) yet northampton itself was fucking funny to drive on. Love driving in snow myself but it's amusing watching RWD cars and useless fucknuts who think to get unstuck, stick your foot to the floor and see what happens get anywhere. Especially uphill, then you cruise merrily past their beached POS.

Calmed down somewhat by mid morning, then another feckload at lunchtime in Northampton itself. Didn't amount to much mind, though it's started again here rather heavily :/

Tis lovely though, first time I've really actually felt "christmassy" for many years.

Had awesome fun outside last night during the blizzard. Got up about 2 hours early to ensure I got to work on time today and my trip was only 10/15 minutes longer than normal - lol. If it freezes properly tonight things may be trickier tomorrow - I'll do the same tomorrow morning.

I am now a confirmed pussy though. I left work tonight at about 7 wearing walking boots, wooley hat, gloves and other bits of kit. A dozen giggly girls walked (sort of) past wearing miniskirts and boobtubes

Fun day really, had to drive to peterborough, not too easy with all the incompetant fuckwits who don't know how to drive in icy/snowy conditions.

Taught my flatmate how to handbrake turn in a car park, she only passed her test a few months back (btw new development in my life, I now live with a 17 year old girl )

Now I'm looking outside and wondering if I can get away with not going into work tomorrow, the 23 mile drive along Lincolnshires finest ungritted frozen roads doesn't appeal to me really.

fecking deadly where I live, the pavements are caked in ice about 2-3cm thick, I live in the centre of my Town and after witnessing the 10th person slip over, with one requiring a trip to hospital after banging their head and with all the ambulances busy picking up the injured so she ended up having to be driven, I decided to be a good Tory voting citizen and got the shovel out and went off in search of grit... on finding that there wasn't a grit bin anywhere in the area I ended up carving through the ice to make a path for people to walk on. Will be on the council to put at least one grit bin in the bloody area!

That should be a good bit of Karma for the year.
