Killstealing at the frontier

i think it depends really... if it is really just a one and one i would probably go up close and help if needed, just like i do if someone looks like they might need with a mob, and sometimes id want the same to be done to me... but different situations give you different 'wants' if you get me. if you have bumped into someone and you have spent a while in 1on1 combat with this person, enjoying a long fight that you look like your easily going to win, then yes, in that situation i would be alittle disapointed and annoyed with the person that jumped in uneeded... but i guess thats because you feel the battle was a waste... you cant say that after that time you solo-ed <who ever> or beat a <class> alone, because that help will always come back as "well you didnt really, he finished them off". but in a zerg, or prehaps just 2 group with each other, i wouldnt say there is kill stealing then... if so im am one, 100%, got a nice list of deaths to my name the other night just from final blows as we over powered a mid emain zerg...

Problem with a situation like this is more often than not "Damned if you do, damned if you don't"...

Personally, I'd rather err on the side of caution and help, you should both get RPs and your realmmate lives to fight another day (well, till the next zerg rolls over you ;))

9 times out of 10 i will wade in (unless a grey vs grey fight)
many times i have been glad of help killing an enemy faster as no sooner as he was downed more turned up..

it is better to get Less Rp from the first kill and win the battle that follows then get the extra and die to a single blow from the reinforcements.

No such thing as Kill-stealing

We are a Realm defending against enemy realms, if you want glory go play something else.
or move to PvP server.

Imho it is better to win the battle than get rps (often I am to be found dead shortly after mezzing a caster and interuping another :) but normally the battle is ours :) )

Always get rps another day.

I'd ask him for some Flammazine to take care of the blisters on your arse.

I go help realm buddy everytime. No hesitation or big moral debates - the enemy is going down in the fastest most efficient method possible and as little as possible is left to chance. The danger of enemies suddenly unstealthing or speed buffed chars coming charging in at MACH5 is too great for anything other than help your mates.

And I like it when realm buddies do the same for me.

Get a kind of warm and fuzzy glow that we're all on the same team ;)

One of the best RvR experiences I had was being in a group at Mid BK and finding ourselves massively outnumbered. Then SotL run in and help us survive. Had they watched from over the other side of the hill to 'see how we were doing' I'd have been, understandably, upset...

You dead = no RPs
You helped = some RPs and not waiting round as long to get some more...

Ok people are starting to mix things up here, if there's a "big" battle going on with x numbers of friendlies and y of hostiles, of course you charge in and whack at nearest enemy, but if you come across two meeles doing a 1on1 dancing around each other leave them too it, unless the friendly yells for help that is. If you still are unsure to help or not, quickly target friendly and then hostile, if hp on friendly is low then whack/nuke away. Doesnt take more than 1-2 secs to check HP on both of them while you are running towards the "duel".

You're even making yourself to become a better player by doing this, learning to check target before attacking, thus ensuring that you will do the most benefit to the rest of
the realm. Like taking out casters and healers a.s.a.p. for instance. Learn to do this and you'll find it much more amusing to engage in bigger battles, where you have a designated name/class on your axe/sword/stick/arrow :)

Selective targetting will often win you the battle more often than doing "target nearest".
