Ran into an emo in local bar once. This goth chick kept comming up and asking us to talk to her and buy her drinks or she was gonna top herself. She was pretty drunk. We (group of mates + gf's) were quite nice to begin with but after a while we got fed up with her. My future wife got so pissed off with her that when she said she was gonna top herself for the 20th time she replied, "stop talking about and just piss off and do it!".

She came out of the toilets 3 minute later with boths wrists cut screaming at us. What a nut case! We managed to stem the bleeding, only one wrist was deep and spurting, and the ambulance arrived quickly. last I heard she was still in a secure unit. Some peoples brains are just not wired right.

Wife still regrets saying what she did.

On the subject of religion and suicide, taking your own life is a mortal sin in the Catholic, jewish and Muslim faiths. Like most religions though, there are conflicting passages - loop holes like 'Jihad' for the muslim clerics that convince suicide bombers that they will still go to heaven. The bible has been watered down over the centuries and the only 'real' version in English is the one King Jame's comissioned which is pretty clear on the subject.

But who cares really, religion is just the tool that has been used to control the masses.

As this case is a case of attention seeking she would of got no help from me. Used to have a gf exactly the same (supersaint will tell you) who used to say the exact same thing to get attention. Like the fact the British government is trying to stop Christmas being called Christmas and change it to the Festive Season

Wasn't the government it was 1 school where the headmaster banned the word christmas in school for 2 weeks leading up to christmas in order to make the actual christmas week "special" where they had various events lined up. rather than a commercialised event as it is today

And the other was a low level pleb effectively saying in a off the record memo "do you think calling it xmas would be offensive to people"

You've mixed up the 2 stories
Noone has tried to change christmas to festive season as that would just be stupid as the whole reason its a holiday is based on religion

I knew she wouldnt of done it, thats the thing. I know of 4 people personally who have commited suicide (3 i only knew to say hello to, the other 1 was a pretty close friend who I grew up with at school) and all 4 came as a surprise, ie, no warning to family or friends.

Ofcourse if you know a person, it's a different matter and with harsh methods like that, it sometimes pays off.

But if someone comes out of the bathroom with slit wrists, you'd help if you could. Hell, i'm a cold bastard and everyone round here knows some of my views on how the humankoind can go f*ck itself, but i'm still not gonna watch someone top themself INFRONT of me while i do nothing.
