Has anyone else been experiencing problems where the keyboard and mouse stop functioning in UT sometimes with the last couple of patches ? It's annoying the f**k out of me

yeap Wij i'm also having problems with new patches.
it's really weird, my keyboard locks, no response at all, but alt+tab works (weird).
only reboot solves it, wich (w2k) takes so looong
no mouse problems tough, only keyboard for me.

Yep I've had that problem too recently. Doesn't happen that often, but like you said the keyboard and mouse stops responding, although it will let you alt-tab back out to windows.
I'm also using win2k, not sure if that has anything to do with it.
I don't need to reboot though, I just close down UT and reload and it is usually fine again.

Hmm, any of u using DirectInput ?
Mig - is yours USB mouse or PS2 ?

My mouse freezes sometimes... kinda like when a player comes into the game. Cant work out whether its actually loading the information or the mouse actually pauses.
When it returns to play, all the previous mouse usage goes into play and a tend to suicide by shooting the floor or something
I've got Microsoft Intellieye mouse. Using USB port and direct input.

i used to have the same problem with a ms explorer mouse and pro keyboard. Not sure how i fixed it though :/
You could try switching about from usb to ps2 on both. Also installing the latest inteli software (3.1 i think)
at the moment i have it set up ..
explorer mouse= usb, plugged into keyboard (intelli software installed)
Keyboard= usb and ps2 plugged in (no keyboard software installed)
Win2k service pack 1 installed ( probably nowt to do with nowt

oh yeah, no mouse smoothing on direct input in UT either
