Just recieved my Z-board keyset and went to claim the item code that came with it.

Code wont be accepted in the EU claim form so does that mean i wont be able to have it?

For future reference, US and EU codes use different formats. These are set and will not change, so if you learn this by heart, you can always see if a code is workin in Europe or not!

EU code: XXXXXX-XXXXX-XXXX-XXXXX-XXXX-XXXXXX = 6-5-4-5-4-6 = 30
US code: XXXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX or 6-5-5-5-5 = 26

Might wanna check this.

yeah its a US code i have then

hopefully magnus would be able to help me with whether i would be able to exchange it for a euro code or something? or is this gonna be a US only item?

sorry to hear that you got a US code with your keyboard. As things stand now, we're in this not-so-great situation where people announce that this-and-this WAR item is included. What they don't say is that it's US only. There's currently no way to change these codes - what you get is what you get and if you're in the wrong zone you're probably best off giving it to a friend in the US or save it in the off chance that there will be some sort of code exchange program in the future.

US codes shouldn't be sold in Europe but yet they are. We're working together with EA to make sure that EU players aren't sold or given codes they can't use but I'd see this more as a process than instant fix.

Alas the perils of outsourcing. thanks for your reply, it doesnt help my situation much but its at least something.

Are GoA going to offer GoA exclusive items in a similar way to this? (free codes with peripherals/games) or are they going to fail on their 'same service if not better' commitment?
