Damned shame - a fantastic cook and celebrity who was never afraid to rock the establishment ... RIP :(

Isn't that the guy who drinks more then he puts in his cooking? I loved his shows! :(

Keith was a legend, I still laugh about the £36k bar bill he paid for with a cheque that bounced. Balls of steel! :)

Rest in peace Keith, you made TV worth watching.

God thats so sad, he had a belting life though.

Wasn't there a program on about him last night as well, Keith in Search of Keith or something it was called.

RIP.

Yeah, there was. I only caught a snippet but that was him chatting to Keith Allen and he was calling some of the modern TV chefs ***** for being so full of bullshit - hilarious! I'll have to try to watch the whole show...

He was the first chef that really got me interested in cooking shows, very funny and cool guy

It was fun seeing what mischief he would get up to and then almost seem to inadvertantly end up with great food at the end of it. I generally can't be bothered with celebrity chefs but Keith Floyd always stood out.

Rest in peace oh great pickled presenter.

The closest to Keith I can come to is probably Rick Stein. Similar levels of disdain and travels a lot.

RIP Keith you legend.

I have to agree, I thought the man was awesome and ironically Chilly he did a TV programme on Rick Stein before he became popular, they were close friends.

So this weekend whilst I am throwing darts at my companies budget submissions Ill raise a glass to Keith Floyd, an awesome cook, a great presenter and the man who introduced the stranglers to the masses.. RIP

Yeah there was a programme on last night-Keith meets Keith or something (Keith Allen meeting Keith Floyd). He looked so much older than he was. its a shame he really was an excellent chef and some of his shows were utter brilliance.
RIP

I'd eat a puffin. I'd also eat a seal, but I'd never eat a whale or dolphin.

Yeah he really lived life to the fullest, ate and drank like a mofo! :D That was part of his charm to be honest, he didn't give a shit and he didn't care if you knew it.
