Anyone happen to be suffering from the bug want to do a dir /s > files.log in their Shrouded Isles directory, so that we get a listing of all their files ? This can then be compared with a listing on an unaffected PC. Via this method it should be pretty straightforward to let an affected person know which files to delete, so that they can repair this bug without having to do a full reinstall.

Alternatively, if an affected person does an uninstall, there should be few files left, and these ones should be among them.

Either way should help us find out how to deal with this problem more elegantly.

Just a thought.

I don't see why it shouldn't be a standard answer. They aren't going to give you any details of the investigation, they aren't going to share the results with you. All they need to tell you is that they've recieved your report, are working on it and if you get more information to keep them informed.
Which is precisely what the stock answer says.

errr late post but i just spotted it

I have absolutley no evidence whatsoever to anyone cheatin but after seein the screenies it sparked a few memories from a keep take and defence at surs on fir or sat night, 'looks' like the same ice wizzy and co.

2fgs of us took surs fairly easily... then some left and a 7 of us went for a mooch around for a fight or 2. Not long after we got reports of surs under attack and went down to see if we could get in. There were no albs visible when we arrived so we went in the doors were up. 30 secs after we were in the keep fell to albion, a little confused a tank went for a look in the lord room, there was 2 infs. Then the courtyard was full of albs. The albs could of 'ported' in after but 2 infs on a claimed keep lord mmmmmm im a lil dubious. After a nice fight in the courtyard we were slain and released and went our seperate ways. I was then messaged by a member of our group and we discussed what had happened, but due to the initial confusion we couldnt come to a conclusion about what had happened.

Like i said initially no proof but very dubious circumstances, the albs couldv'e done an assasin take :/ or they couldve abused a known bug and bypassed the doors. I dunno id like to think they did a clever lil keep take rather than a bug abuse ..

I was unsure about postin here about it but seems its been done on several occasions over the weekend.

hopefully anyone found guilty will get more than a slap on the wrist.

The bug can't be exploited to help kill a keep lord since if the 2nd door is missing then there is a 3rd door preventing access to the tower.

also, some of the people who has this bug, may not be aware. Afaik the 2nd door is simply not there. Its ofc possible to see the difference, as there wont be an image of a broken door either, but in the heat of the moment, not everyone would notice that.

So, to make a long post short; If you spot an enemy doing it, report it. if you spot a realm mate doing it, tell him that he is having a bug, tell him how to solve the problem, and if he doesnt, report him.

It's not rocket Science, i know, but some people genuinely dont know, and quite alot of people genuinely dont know how to react to someone bugged either

Someone then tell me, how do I report sneaky hunters using the door bug and shooting through it while not actually going through it - can't really take a screenshot of him, only of the arrow up my ass and red "hit" message. Please my Midgardian friends if you see any hunters shooting through the door - be nice and report him, I had 2 hunters on me for 15 minutes and so did other fellow casters of my group. And it was on your server/realm. (was saturday or sunday keep defence - next time i will try to take a screenshot even of the arrow shooting me)

Impossible, even when I moved around I was still getting shot at, and it was much much too often. And there were only two hunters, and they were hitting very very often. And when the arrow well "hit me" it usually sticks from the direction it comes from - which was in this case from the direction of the door everytime. My fellow defending casters were also complaining because they were getting hit too often.

So then how do I report this and prove that it is not volley?

Lol must've been lvl 9 hunters or something since they werent able to kill you

LOL - well we are talking about bug abusing so we all should be serious.
But other than that, I would run around a lot, cast my bladeturn over and over and spam "heal meh!" and "ffs hunter" messages. Ow ye, and I think there was only one safe spot, when I was on the stairs to battlements, they didnt shoot me hehe, or when I went up to lord, so I had to go far away so they abuse someone else, then come back, use GT/PBAOE, random nukes from battlements until a hunter would again start punching arrows on me.

I have had the same thing with volley, not being able to cast because arrows hitting me for about 10mins in bledmeer last week :E (lord room) yeah nerf casters more mythic please :/

Phew....there but for the grace of god.

i play fairly irregularly now..but last week a keep retake was happening when i logged on, Renaris i think.

now as a wizzie i stand well away from the doors and experience has taught me im not a tank and i dont go through the doors first.

However i thnk i had been killed, had rested and ran up to aoe the doors..lo and behold doors down...well i stood around thinking why havent we charged through...maybe it was massive cc on middies parts,,anyway i hung back waiting and got killed..aftr much cursing and resting ..heard " doors down" wtf?

im just lucky i didnt charge through when i "saw" them down...if i had i would have certainly tried to cast on the enemy.

First time I had seen it so didnt know what was going on..
Basically I could see through the door, on the other side were wizzies firing ae nukes i think. Anyway there was like 4 people bashing the second door.. But I thought they had been rooted or stunned,, it looked like the door had gone down and the wizzies were nuking them.. i remember thinking the wizzies were hardcore holding off our tanks like a camp of pygmy goblins, so i nuked 2 of them then ran into the courtyard, nuked at another and got zerged.. So it proves there are people stupid enough to not realise whats going on.

was unrezable so had to release and missed the rest of the battle so it didnt really help me

its not only albs wh use it - on the Arvakr Faste only an hour ago - we have over 15 mids Walking in to the courtyard & casting - unfortunalty i had bob in the way so i couldnt get a target on them to get a screenie off - i agree with the rest - Punish People who abuse this bug
